    Cool, (Although I really never enjoyed the movie, or understand it) the main character looks a lot different then the movie.

    thats prety cool.. I hope its a New story line or a continuation of the movie.. and the main character looks the same but just with a new style of art..

    Yeah, they look really similar to each other...between the Movie and the series pictures. It'd be cool if they made her look like the manga series...but I'm still not complaining, and can't wait till it reaches US shores...if ever. :D

    Within minutes of the TV series being announced Bandai said they had licensed it for release in the US.

    Bandai Japan are one of the main companies behind this show so that's not much of a suprise.

    It'll run for 26 episode episodes.

    Visually it looks to be pretty high quality, word is the budget for this show is around twice that of standard anime TV series of this length.

    It's kind of a pity that Mamoru Oshii and Kenji Kawai wont be involved (I'm unsure about Kazunori Ito, but if Oshii isn't in it's a fair bet Ito won't be), those 2 were key elements of the original movie. Yoko Kanno is a great composer though so it's not gonna be crap in that department anyway.

    funny...i thoguht i read on the forums there, that manga had the rights to it...oh well,...if bandai has it, it's in much better hands...

    but, it looks neat...the english site is very nice...looks promising...

    I dont think itll be a continuation.Ghost in the Shell 2:Man Machine Interface(graphic novel)is already out.(itll be coming to U.S this October.)The show will probably be a more detailed adaption of the graphic novel of the original Ghost in the Shell.

    i just saw the movie and it was okay.. but i actually like the comics better than the Movie so i dont know if i would like the Tv series..
