Recreation Ghost Stories

Well, seeing as how the current obsession in my hometown seems to be getting thrills from going to "supposedly" haunted houses, I've decided to post something about ghost stories. I know ppl have some personal ones, as do I. I shall tell one now:

Well, my cousin, when she was about 15 (she's aboot 21 now) was just minding her own business sleeping away, when she remembers waking up because she was really really cold. She has a full length mirror in her room, and when she looked into it through the dark, she saw a silhouette. It was a victorian lady, she had a full dress on and was sitting on the end of her bed. She said she just looked at her for a minute, then faded away.


True story, apparently. ^^ Both her and her sister have been visited by this lady, and she's never done anything but sit on their beds and stare. Still, gave me shivers. ^^ I'd like to hear your guys' stories about ghosts, or just haunted places from around where you live.

 

One time when i was about... 7, my family was renting out a cottage in Cape Cod.

Very bad place, this one was.

One time, as I was lying down after reading, I saw what was sort of like an orangey fireball slowly spinning around on the ceiling, moving across it gradually.

In that same place, the following things happened...

-A horrible smell, like decaying flesh, could be smelled in one specific room in the basement. This smell did not spread to other rooms, there was nothing in the room that could possibly create such a stench, and it could only be smelled at certain times.
-My sister saw lots of bloodstains on the walls in her room, though we saw nothing.
-My mother saw a ghostly family at the stairwell one day.
-either my mom or my sister (I forget which) saw a grinning figure in the aforementioned 'smelly' room. Not grinning happy. Grinning -evil-.

There have been other strange incidents in my life, including ones in the house I'm living at, however, that cottage sticks out as the most disturbing, especially since all this happened in the span of two weeks. The other incidents (including the ones in my home) have either been non-offensive or actually nice.

One is hearing a female voice which was definitely not my mothers or sisters call my name in a reassuring tone. I dunno if it was a ghost, an angel or what, but it wasnt bad at all.

Actually one kinda freaky thing that did happen in my house was when my sister was woken up by a young boy who asked her to come play in the attic with him. (Our attic is not one of those 'nice' ones that people spend time in, its just a storage area thats rather drafty)

her reply?

"No, I have to sleep. Night."

A rather stoic 5 year old, she was!

I've also had smattering of other paranormal experiences, but this post is big enough as it is.

 

Neph, tell your sister she hurt my feelings.

The only ghost stories I can claim have been hallucinations due to sleep deprivation.

However, those were fun while the lasted. You've never lived until you've half human, half robot creatures devour your XBOX. Oh, and can't forget random blood dripping from the walls as well as Eternal Darkness-esque voices coming from no where.

On a completely unrelated topic, I love coffee.

I dont exactly live in a haunted place but sometimes it gets pretty creepy round here. Like sometimes when someone is in the bathroom they can see shadows move around outside the door but when they look there is nobody there and the floor is really creaky but they cant hear ne creaking noises.

One time when i was going back up stairs in the middle of the night after getting a drink of water, i heard a really loud noise that sounded like a dresser falling on the floor. The sound had come from my sisters' room so i thought i would go investigate but when i went in there, there was nothing there. My dad had experienced the same thing...only he was down stairs at the time. But again when i went up there, there was nothing there. And no, it wasn't a dresser.

So...ya, those are my "experiences"

 

damnit, reading ghost stories when you are are on drugs is not a clever thing..

beware of wraiths ~ shadow spirits are drawn to malice & violent emotional energies; a space abundant with such energies can evoke such entities to shift from their realms into ours' ~ & if continued, negative thoughts become encouraged since they gain dominion over our minds...the weak-minded become easiest to sway ~ so long as energies remain shadowy, so shall they remain within their chosen's house.. :glazed:

several years before ~ we had such encounters within a former house of ours' ~ until the fateful day came when we cleansed our home & drove these beings back from once they came; we sealed the gateway in which they came through...ever since, we had no problems & our house felt nice to live in..

 

I dunno I often find ghost stories like that hard to beleive, just because of peoples reactions.
Maybe it's cos I'm a chicken of something.
But if I saw any of that **** I'd ****ing run a mile.
I'd leave the damn country.
You wouldn't see my *** for dust.
If there's one thing that freaks me out more than anything it's bloody dead people.

Reading those stories again.
I can't help but think, what the ****?
That **** would screw me up big time.


Now I don't have any ghost stories thankfully.
Any weird crap I see I blame on lack of sleep or halucinagens.

(or ultra low frequency sound vibrations which can effect the eyes and brain, make you see things and make it feel like there's "presence" in the room.)

I've never had any real scary paranormal expreriences, but things in my room sometimes MOVE/TURN ON AND OFF?
And I once saw the shadow of a man in a cloak standing on my bed when I looked in the mirror, but it woz like 5.30 am so I was probably just half-asleep and seeing things o_0

My four-year-old cousin once did summing REALLY freaky. While my aunt was driving thru the cemetary where my other aunt is buried, my cousin pointed at the empty passenger seat and said - "Look! It's auntie! Hello auntie!"
*shiver*

 

ShadowHawk- that could be due to many things- i.e- Depression over the loss of an Aunt, but the paranormal explanation is, that children are innocent and when they are that young they believe in all these things, which makes them able to see them more often and with much more clarity......

My experiances:

Well I know that they are all really small but they all freaked me out. One time- when I was about 7 or 8, I was watching my favorite movie ::Labyrinth:: when all of a sudden the movie rewound itself to about a scene before where it was- and it stopped and played again. Now this seems normal except for the fact that the remote was on the Mantle Peice!!

I out of everyone in my house believe the most that there is some presence inside it. Because I see figures moving out of the cornors of my eyes all the time. Like once when I was in the shower, :irty Minds!:: I thought I saw a white cloathed figure walk by the shower curtain. I thought it was my mom so I called out for her. Except no one answred. I opened the curtain and looked out, but no one was there! And no one could have possibly left the room without me knowing because of squeaky doors....

Yeah, my bro is right. Crazy crap happens at our house all the time. We live in a very, very old house (one of the oldest in our city, and our city is where the war of 1812 occurred)
That boy did come, and he kept on haunting me for many years. Also, I have some creepy dolls in my room, such as an Anne of Green Gables doll. At night, it moves. I'll have it facing the window from my dresser, and in the morning, it's either facing the wall or down on the floor.

At the creepy cottage, I saw some weird stuff. Like, in my room, there were all this bloodstains, ALL the time. It REEKED of blood in there, but nobody else but me could smell it, and sometimes my clothes would be all bloody for no reason, and I couldn't figure out why. (And people would say they are clean, but I saw blood on them.) One night, at about three in the morning, I heard feet walking accross the floor. I looked up and saw this creepy guy standing at the foot of my bed with a huge-*** sword in hand, and he had this really creepy grin on his face, and he looked psychopathic. I ran out of my room, not returning until sunrise (I bunked with my brother) and in the morning nothing was there.

At my house, weirder things have happened ever since. Like, one night, recently, I was on the computer, and it was LATE. It was three in the morning. Nobody was awake but me, and my brother was out with friends. I felt cold, clammy hands going up my shirt, pulling at my hair and trying to rip off my clothes or something. When I turn around, nothing is there. I now burn inscense everywhere becuase nothing happens if I burn that stuff.

Ok I seriously fear for your two's lives!!

Ok here's my scareiest story.

This took place during the summer of last year before my sister had moved out. Well it was about 9:45 PM and my dad was at work because he works nights. My sister Michelle was at her boyfriends house spending the night. Well my mom, twin brother, and I were all watching TV in our living room when we heard a really loud bang like something falling over. I get freaked out real easy so I was scared. Well my mom and brother decided to go search for the source of the noise.

They went into the sunroom, the closest to where te livingroom is-and when they were at the doorstep to the room- A really loud bang came again from under the comptuer desk. Of couse when they looked nothing was there.

By now we were all really freaked out so we all curled up together in the reclining chair.

Then about 10 minutes later- We heard a voice coming from downstairs where my sisters bedroom was. The voice called out something like- "Mom help me!" Or "Please Help Somebody!"

And my mom- thinking my sister hadn't left yet, called down wondering what was the matter. Then I told her michelle was at her boyfriends house. And needless to say- that's when my mom called my dad at work and told him to come home immediatly because none of us could even settle down it was so scary!

And the scariest part? I sleep in my sister's old room now!!

 

I have a pretty freaky story myself, there is this particular room in our house, very small, very claustraphobic. Anyway, from time to time this horrific smell eminates from this room, the smell could be described as that of pure evil.

Once I was sitting in that room on my own, reading a magazine, when all of a sudden i felt a cold shudder down my spine and the smell returned. Naturally I ran from the room, but not before I saw a strange brown creature lying in a pool of water, it was grotesque....

Anyway, I got the hell out of that room and never went back.

 

HOLY ****! YOU NEED AN EXORCIST!! EXORCIST FOR HIRE, EXORCIST FOR HIRE!

 

Only two things...

As a child,4ish, late at night i used to look down the side of my bed near the wall & always saw some damn psychidelic thing with teeth... lil round multi coloured not solid formed thing with teeth :S

Last year i was doing early shifts for 2 weeks straight (5;30 am - 1;30 pm) with say an hour or two sleep in between... one morning just standing in the rain waiting for the taxi to work... taxi was late as usual, saw things moving about, knew it just was my mind playing tricks... Grey midget jumps out from behind a bush & runs up to me... i stare at it & it stares at me before clearing it's throat & says "Hello... im grey, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!" & then running away behind some cars whilst still proclaiming "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!" (In a welsh accent if you know what one sounds like)

Funny as hell... well the grey thing was

 

Lex, that's just sick. (now that u told me what it was...well, I can understand why you fled that room and never went back you stinky bastard) And Neph and Lady Shadow-san.....you guys must have some sort of telepathic thingy going on. The whole bloodstain thing freaked me right out.

Well, now I shall tell a story of a place round where I live that's rather scary.

In a place called Pictou, out in a desolate spot, there is a statue of a doll, it's either in or near a certain graveyard. I think it probably marks a child's grave or something. Anyway, the story goes that you can see it one time, and go back, and it will be in a totally different position than when you'd first seen it. We have yet to test it out, but I'm not sure I want to really. *eek*

I remember once, it was like 4 years ago. All home alone, watching tv, and everything was so freaking boring. I looked outside the window, and suddenly this freaking chainsaw sound was "screaming" next door. Tell you what, i got freaking scared and got my *** outta the house immediatly.

Why? well, i lived in an apartment that time, and the neighbors ( a guy and his gf) told us he was going on a vacation...

i have some really weird things/stories to tell ya, its weird. My sister(D3vi's Anjil) is like possesed. at night she acts like someone different. its weird.

one time, last summer in a different house, i was reading around 1:00am in the morning and i was jus reading, minding my own buisness when my mom said she was heading to bed. she left to her room, and then my sister started to make noises with her mouth and then she sat up right away. i looked at her and she looked at me with her eyes open, she then looked at the light switch and it turned off and then she layed back down. i was still sitting up in my bed holding my book, stunned. i got really scared and then i put down my book and went to sleep. in the morning i told everyone and no one beleived me. i was afraid to stay up later than her and always went to sleep when my sister did.

another story is in the house we are in now, all the time you jus feel weird and like you arnt supposed to be there. my room is like the worst of all. one time, i jus went to bed and i was afraid to even step in my own room, like something didnt want me to be there, in my own room. so i just forced my self in by telling myself that i had to go to bed to wake up fer school in the morning. so i just walked in and went to bed, i kept hearing foot steps up and down the hall way, and my door started to close, and it would go a little bit at a time, and thats my heart started to pound wildly, i then jumped up and ran down stairs and as i went out the door, i had to push my door open(i had it open all the way before) because it was shut almost all the way. i am just scared to know what would have happened when my door had closed all the way. and sometimes my radio will just turn off and on and change stations. i then scream "Andy" because we think that is its name. so when ever something weird happens, we yell at "Andy"
