It's all about the most massive build up ever seen in an anime. sustained over several disks.

It is pretty good. Hard to say what it is about. There are big robots, and demons, and 'mental turmoil'

Give it a shot! the SNN news network is pretty cool :D

Yes, Gasaraki is very good and I was an addict from the very first disc. However, I am also an addict of Lain and Evangelion, so...

Gasaraki is I guess most easily described as a realistic military mecha anime with various supernatural elements mixed into the main storyline. As MO indicated, Gasaraki has a pace you need to be patient with, but so did Lain. The plot is very well constructed and Gasaraki's main strength.

It's about a young man named Yushiro who's referred to as a 'kai'. He is both a test pilot for a mecha being developed by his family's corporation and able to perform this summoning ritual for the 'Gasaraki', and these two things seem closely related. In Yushiro's first attempt at a summoning, he is interrupted by a vision of a young woman, Miharu, who convinces him to cease the ritual. He of course becomes a little obsessed with finding Miharu. About the same time, an opportunity comes up for field-testing the mechas in the far-off country of Belgistan...

That basically summarizes the hooks hinted at in the first episode or two.

Cant say this anime's sucks.. But its very hard to get into I found.. The start of the series was very confusing.. but after a while it started to make sense.. never finished it tho.. The plot just moved to slow for me... Lain was more addicting then this anime i found!...

But thats My opinion on it..

yet Lain was also a 13 episode anime and built up much quicker to reach a conclusion.
I find Gasaraki quite a masterpiece in animation, plot, and design.
The Noh theatre relation is quite interesting as well.

lol. cut back Gasaraki in 13 parts, what do you get? a rendition of Fox's version of Escaflowne :( :( :( the aired episodes that is...
Fox would never know the difference... now I'm rambling...
