There are lots of good manga series not yet available in America. Some of the ones I'd like to see translated are

    Black Cat
    Death Note
    Minto na Bokura
    Nurse Angel Ririka SOS

Then there are all the series that are being translated but released slowly and/or with poor translations. I have mixed feelings about the whole translated manga business, truthfully. On the one hand, I am able to read the volumes quickly and enjoy them when they're printed in my native language. On the other hand...there are times when I know the translation is off or when I really wish they had kept some of the Japanese terminology intact.

i believe that it was called school rumble... or something along that line. (it was similar to azumanga daioh or whatever it was called.) i was watching the anime when i was in japan, and it just caught my attention. (well, okay, not really, but i DID think that it was quite amusing.

Sequence, Yorozuya, and Kannade are some really good ones that I wished would get released. I'd also like to see Saiyuki Gaiden get released.

I would love to see Codename wa: Sailor V and the Outlaw Star manga. They would be a nice change from all the "Harry Potter-ish" manga (I believe there's too much of it).

Star Princess, what do you mean by "Harry Potter-ish" manga? In my experience there aren't that many manga that follow a storyline similar to Harry Potter. What makes a manga "Harry Potter-ish" in your mind, anyway?

It would definitely be cool if some of these series got translated. Saiyuki Gaiden probably will be, just because Tokyopop has already licensed both Saiyuki and Saiyuki RELOAD.

geishaboy - The first volume of I''s was listed for release by Viz just last month (April). I don't know if it was actually released on schedule or not; Viz doesn't update their release listing as often as I would like, particularly.
