Graduation has or is coming up for seniors. It's a time for the ending of the old and the coming of a new life...

And with Graduation...comes celebrations. And celebrations...might mean parties...and parties mean invitations and invitations...well...it wouldn't be nice to just show up, if you know what I mean...

Anyways, to get to the point. Gifts. I'm having quite a bit of troubles with gifts. So help me and, I'm sure, a lot of other people out there...What is a good idea for a graduation gift...?

It's hard...I mean...For both the female and male graduates. XD

When my sister graduated, me and my brothers went and bought her a small box of chocolates that had some graduation stuff written on the cover and a big white teddy bear that was wearing a graduating hat with a diploma glued on him. That bear was freaking cute that I was feeling sorry handing it over to her xD

I am not sure about boys, but this was a good one for my sister, she jumped with joy when she saw it!

The usual gift for guys here is the Graduation Ring. Gold, engraved with the person's name, the school's name, and the graduation year.

Girls get treated to things like mentioned before, and of course (for the rich ones) Limo Rides!

Well, I graduated from high school 2-3 weeks ago. A great feeling yes, but what lies ahead is more important than spending your time at home and work at some store.

Get them flowers, be there when they take the graduation, it's always great when someone you know is there :)

I can think of a few things.

If they have a car buy them gas certificates or certificates to the car wash.

    Other things
    Clothes
    Concert tickets
    Books
Cash certificates to a place they like
Get them a newspaper so they can find a job (I did that to my brother this year)

With really good friends make a scrapbook.

Teddz has a point there. When I graduated from highschool (2002) my mom was the only person there for me (since the invitations included only one person). It was nice having her there (especially she used to teach at the highschool I was at, so most of the teachers knew her and I got extra special treatment :p).

Still, it would've been greater if *Fabee* and the rest of the family were there for me. If that happend, it would've actually felt like graduating :)

Yes, I'm aware that graduation occurred a few weeks ago. No smart remarks are neccesary (ooh, I sound so hostile! Wait, I think I may have just ruined it...).

Hmmm, I gave all my graduating senior-friends a big hug and an I.O.U, but I was tempted to purchase these rather peculiar dancing chickens in caps and gowns (reminiscent of those old "kung fu fighting" hamsters) that appropriately did the chicken dance to some remix of a graduation theme and the chicken-dance-song. They were beautiful ^_^ (and a whopping 8 dollars each which, on my limited budget, was enough to make me decide against them).
