Anime Gross-out Anime?

Has there ever been an anime, whether it's a show or a movie that has really grossed you out? I've been wondering about this lately.

 

There's been some of them for me. The End of Evangelion is one. The bit were Nerv is being invaded and all the special forces are killing all the unarmed and defencless scientests. That was desterbing. Espessaly with the flame thrower and the woman that gets killed trying to drag another scientest to saftey. That really messed me up.
The other's would propbably be Voilonce Jack and the Overfiend films. Don't ask why i watched them. I don't think there's many who weren't grossed out by Overfiend.

 

I heard "ghost in the shell" was really gross, i never saw it however. I also saw the cover to this thing called "PSHYCO CAMPUS" about this rapist monster, but i would never watch that.

 

In order of worst to less worse (for me): "Akira", "End of Evangelion","Ghost In The Shell" (movie)

But they're still mild when compared to an overrun animal by the roadside...

 

I read ghost in the shell and skullman. DISGUSTING.. i seriously forewarn anyone who is actually going to read this cause i bet you, you most likely will through up.

"Gross out" to me doesn't mean disturbing (like End of Evangelion). That term is usually applied to a certain genre of film, stuff like There's Something About Mary or Me, Myself and Irene. Anime that fit that mold then are Goldenboy, The Ping Pong Club (and how), and to an extent, Great Teacher Onizuka

To answer the question as you originally meant it though, Now and Then, Here and There made me rather queasy. Can't think of any more, probably because I generally avoid anime that will make me ill

 

I'm going to have to agree with everyone - Evangelion. The parts in which Unit One is reducing Unit Three to a bloody pulp, or ingesting an angel...not just gross but extremely scary.
And yeah the GITS movie was just...ughh
I can't really think of much else....god when the eva looks at the screen...its really dark in here *cowers under desk*

gits? that certainly wouldn't make my list. it's got maybe 1 or 2 bloody scenes but that's all. same for it's manga...
Kite would make my list.... steer well away boys and girls...

 

Kite is pretty disturbing. GITS isn't that disturbing really, more like a psychological anime to me.

Though one did gross me out a few years back... but for anouther reason;

One of my Ex's found a tape to do with a certain anime i like so she thought that it might interest me... it did not, granted i liked the anime... but not some yaoi edition where the two main characters ****ed each other silly :sad: / :anger2: ... such an evil Ex

you're lucky you didn't see the directors cut then...x_X. i would have burnt the disc, but i didn't want to release it's karma into the atmosphere.

 

You want gross? Just put on anything with alien or demon hentai! I only saw one old hentai one, Urotsukidoji, where there was a nasty part... this loser guy wants to be lucky with the ladies, so he makes a deal with the demons to replace his "thing" with a demonic one! (He even has to cut it off and replace it himself!) Now that was both gross AND disturbing!

 

I think FLCL was disgusting.

Oh and Saiyan ChiChi could you explain why FLCL is disgusting, simply stating that and not giving any reasons why make you look like a idiot.

I would have to agree though that End of Evangelion is a little disgusting at times but Akira and Ghost in a Shell I find pretty normal. Watching a guys head blow up is actually pretty amusing. Legend of the Overfiend is disturbing at times what with all those rape scenes. :anger2:

 

Probably the nastiest things I've seen were hentai in nature - some of them are just outright stupid, too, but there's nothing that grosses me out more than a sex scene with extremely unrealistic and poor-quality animation and character design. Not to mention, I don't really like hentai... though some of it is sort of funny.

Also, Boku no Sexual Harassment is NOT for the faint of heart, whether or not you like yaoi. >_> Lots of icky old businessmen... yeah.

I'll admit the giant, disgusting amoeba-like thingy in Akira was rather icky... but the first time I saw it I was eating dinner, so I suppose I may have been a bit sensitive. XD

As for Evangelion... it was slightly unpleasant at times, but within the context I think the gore was appropriate, so it didn't bother me. A well-crafted series can pull off some really gross things if they illustrate a point.

I think what really disgusts me is some of the doujinshi floating around out there - and some of the fanfiction. Don't get me wrong, I've got no problem with sexual content when it's handled well - but it just really bugs me to see characters behaving in ways contrary to their canon portrayal. That disturbs me more than anything else, and you frequently see characters' personalities ignored in adult doujinshi/fics just because the creator wants to get Character A in bed with Character B, and can't do it without significantly altering the way they think and act.

 

I once saw a show, i think it was called "Poly Matrix" on Anime Unleashed (Tech TV) and this old woman got her brains blown out.... after trembling in fear and crying, "p-please dont kill me--!!" :blush2: that was veryy.. disturbing.. and scary ...

 

I'm going to agree on this one I've only seen 2 and they just grossed me out big time.
And End of Evangelion was a little disterbing at time but not all that bad.
