    ~Free MMORPG Guide Version 1.0~

Decided to make a list of free MMORPGs to anyone who's interested. I will update this list whenever its needed. Hopefully this guide will help many people who want to play a MMORPG, but without the horrible monthly fee.

    Knight Online

    http://www.knightonlineworld.com/

Knight Online is a MMORPG set in a Medieval like world. There are four classes (Warrior, Magician, Priest, And Rogue) which has professions at level ten. Theres are two types of races, the human Like Races (Barbarian, Male El Moradian, and Female El Mordian) and the orc like races (Arch Tuarek, Tuarek, Wrinkle Tuarek, and Puri Tuarek).

The game plays like Most MMORPGs, but looks like classic Everquest. Character Creation options are limited, so you might see a clone of you running around the world. Alot of the players don't speak english, and the server lags badly. There are quests, just not too many of them. Although this game is Free to Play, you can buy scrolls to raise your EXP gained from a mob, scrolls to teleport you around, etc.

This game isn't horrible, but it isn't the best. Some may like it, some may not. Its worth a shot though.

    Conquer Online

    http://www.conqueronline.com/

"Conquer Online is a Real Time MMORPG with 2D backgrounds and 3D characters that has been developed by TQ Digital (www.tqdigital.com)"

Conquer Online has four classes. Warriors are adept in the use of all kinds of weapons and armors, and combat skills, Trojans are fighters who can use a weapon in each hand, Taoists can use elemental magic, and Archers can attack from far away and can attack with their bow quickly.

This game is a 2D MMORPG, alittle like Ultima Online. If you like a game with a little challenge and alot of PvP, then you'll love Conquer. Theres not much to choose from at the character creation, but you can buy hair dyes at a merchant, and change your character's portrait with some money.

Basicly you kill monsters and level up, with some quests. Although you just go attack monsters on the fields, other players can kill you if your not on your feet at all times. They can attack anywhere, but in towns, guards kill them if they attack other players, so your good in towns.

There is a feature thats kinda like skipping, but not quite. If you hold Ctrl and left click on a area of the ground, you'll do a long jump, which is very useful for traveling, or getting away from Mobs/PKs. Leveling in Conquer isn't as bad as other MMORPGs, but it can get boring at times.

If your looking for a PvP based MMORPG with a Martial Arts theme and many players, then give Conquer Online a try. Its a great Free to Play MMORPG.

    Rubies of Eventide

    http://www.rubiesofeventide.com/

Rubies of Eventide is a 3D MMORPG that is diffrent from other MMOs.

The main races are Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Orcs, Gnomes, Ogres, and Leshys. Each race has a Strong point and a weakness, except for the human of course, they're average.

Character creation for your character looks are alittle limited. Classes however, is where the game really shines. You can make your character however you want. Theres many classes to choose from, and you can put skill points into what skills you want (Example: A Mage who can use a sword in each hand). Its however you want your character to be.

The battle system is diffrent freom other MMORPGs though. Its more of a turn based system, so fans of strategy games might enjoy this game. The game can lag at times, but its not too often. The community is very friendly, which makes RoE a great game for new players.

It may not be the best looking or playing MMORPG, but its a great game for a free one. Give it a shot if you wanna try something diffrent. You just might enjoy it.

    Maple Story

    http://www.mapleglobal.com/

Maple Story is a 2D Side Scrolling MMORPG set in a cutsy little world.

Players start out as a beginner, and work they're way to level 8-10. Then they have the Option to choose between Warrior, Magician, Bowsman, or Thief. Each class has a few paths to follow, the choice is up to you.

    Kal Online

    http://www.kalonline.com/

A Oriental based MMORPG. yes Oriental, not Knights in shining armour but that of eastern culture. Basic Structure of most MMORPG but pretty well done. Recently started playing this so I'll give a more insighted review after a couple of days more of playing it.

    More to Come!

(props go to a member from a different forum for having this idea. But since nothing new has been happening here. I decided to bring it to BJP. So have fun :D )

Also if anyone has free MMORPG info that they would like to share then please post it:D

Mind if I add a few more?

    Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates!

    http://www.puzzlepirates.com

This one's free as well if you play on the Doubloon oceans (you can buy doubloons with money, or use the doubloon exchange to exchange in-game money called POE for them, which you'll need to buy certain items). It's all puzzles, and each ship duty has a different puzzle that players can do, and they need to do them well for the ship to run efficiently, which is vital for pillaging, which you need to make money. Swordfights during pillages are team battles, and if you've ever played Puzzle Fighter, it's like that, except you can gang up on people. Different swords give you different drop patterns. There are also crafting puzzles for those who want to create items, and so on.

It's designed around players working together basically, while still doing your own puzzles most of the time, but they're linked a bit. e.g., Sailing at fast speeds will damage the ship (also cannon damage in ship battles). Carpenters on a ship repair damage, which make water rise up faster for the bilgers, who need to keep the water levels down or the ship sinks. There are also bots who can do mediocre jobs if not enough humans are available.

    For browser games...

    Kingdom of Loathing

    http://www.kingdomofloathing.com

It's a rather humorous online RPG that has several references to other things and in general doesn't take itself too seriously. Classes are stuff like the Seal Clubber, Pastamancer, and Accordion Thief. Currency in the game is meat, which is used to make meat paste to combine stuff, and so on. You get X number of adventures a day and you can get more by eating and drinking and having certain items.

    Urban Dead

    http://www.urbandead.com

This is basically a continuous PVP game between Survivors and the Zombies. you get one move every 30 minutes and can store a maximum of 50 moves. As you do things, you'll slowly rack up experience which you can use to purchase skills. If you die as a Survivor, you will rise up as a Zombie. If you die as a Zombie, well, you still stand right back up as a Zombie! Survivors do have access to revivification syringes, which can turn Zombies back into humans, but they don't work on Zombies that have started to brain rot.
