Gundam Gundam Games

Anyone here play any Gundam games?


I havent played any.Im going to get Federation vs Zeon soon.That game looks great.(The mobile suits look awesome!)Its the only Gundam game that got good reviews.(The others got fair reviews but Federation vs Zeon got really good reviews,9s and 10s and such)

i have played gundam battle assalt for the psone i enjoyed it when i had a psone .it was set in the future where hero yuy battles to save the universe again, hes goal is to get rid of all moble suits so that the peole can live in pease. It is take form most of the battle from 0083 a war in my pocket and most of the moble suits for the war of the fedaration vs zion. my best gundam was full armor zz gumdam!what do you think?

 

I didn't know there was a Gundam Wing game! I saw the Zion Empire one, but a Gundam Wing Game! Waaaah!

Is Duo in it??? Lol, I'll have to try and find it at meh local GameZone

sorry but most of the original cast has been wiped out, so all you've got is hero yuy in the wing gundam (not wing 0) and all the new cast from the gundam flims like a war in my pocket etc. my pesonal best gundam on the game had to be FULL ARMOR ZZ GUNDAM but if i had a choice i would definalty with uot a doubt have hero yuy in his wing 0 that my most powerful gundam. But one thing anoyed me in the gundam wing film ENDLESS WALTZ all the gundam's was custom eg. deathsythe "custom" oh so diss respect full of an amazing peice of machine. what would any of you say to having a custom one in stead of a rokin amazing one?so long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I think there was a G Gundam game for Super Nintendo,but I'm not sure.

In Gundam Battle Assualt 2 they have some gundams from G Gundam,so you could count that too.

i just got a new gundam game called GUNDAM FEDERATION VS ZION its mainy based upon 0079 although i perfer gundam wing this game is amazing because you can battle on land and space it's done in the 3rd person view but it's not a fighting game like battle assault you do missions in campain mode depending who's side your on depends witch ever is your preference. all i can say is that i can't belive that i took the time to talk to you all about this when i could be destroying enemy moble suits.

 

There is a G Gundam game on SNES, but it wasn't as good as the Gundam Wing: Endless Duel game.

Gundam Assault was fun, but the "Alternate Timeline" story was crap. It was pretty much an excuse for Heero to kill ****.

Fed vs. Zeon: Is it good? I haven't played it yet. I know the other PS2 Gundam was horrible, tho. Bad control thingies. Boo.

And also, there are numerous Gundam strategy games for the SNES, the only catch is that they're in japanese.

Gundam Fed vs Zion is amazing i got so into it i played it 6 hours straight. on the arcade mode you choose your moble suits for gound and space combat, when you complete a mission you go through the ranks, but on campain mode it is different in the case of the you usually have a choise in missions but the dissadvange is when you fight with you moble suit in battle and you completed the mission your suit would most likely be damaged(out fo commission for a while) so that means if you have saved it for doing the mission on your memory card and then realise that you have moble suits that are out of commission or not at full strength your basically screwed! but the game is amazing and so addictive to any gundam fan. on campain mode i choose feds and i am up to the 87th mission i just cannot belive that such a good detailed game could have so many missions! so there you go it's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im definetly gonna have to get this game.Ive heard that the other PS2 Gundam games suffer from poor controls(like Amada said)but this one seems to have broke that chain.Ive seen the selection of mobile suits you can use,and it is a large selection.(its all from UC 0079 though....not that thats a bad thing )Too bad the game wasnt set in UC 0093.I want to use Nu Gundam!!!!

 

I've played many Gundam games. I liked all of 'um!
Gundam: Jounry to Jaburo was fun, but it was really short. Gundam: Zeonic Front was fun too, if you like games that are like Rainbow Six. Gundam: Federation Vs. Zeon was very fun too! Probably my favorite was Federation Vs. Zeon. Those, ofcourse, are set in the Universal Century in the One Year War.
Gundam Battle Assult was fun, if you like fighting games. It offers a wide selection of mobile suits to use for battle. You play as Heero, fighting against Trez. Gundam Battle Assult 2 was better than the first. It has more mobile suits to select from, and three different story-lines! One, you play as Heero in the Wing Gundam Custom, fighting Oz. Two, you play as Amuro Ray in the RX-78 Gundam, fighting the Principality of Zeon. Three, you play as Domon Kasshu in the Burning (God) God, looking for his brother Kyoji Kasshu. It's really fun!
G-Arms for the Game Boy color was fun, though confusing if you can't read Japaniese. The controls are easy to learn, but it's kinda hard to play. Good luck on finding this game too!
There is a G-Gundam game for the Super Nintendo/Famicom. It's a fun game! There are many Gundam games for the Super Nintendo/Famicom, like Z Gundam, ZZ Gundam, Gundam RPGs, and many more! I've played a few, and they're fun! Just can't understand a word of 'um.
G-Savior Shooter is also out for the PS2 in Japan. I haven't played it, but want to really bad.
Also, Ghiren's Greed was fun. And for game in English, Gundam Side Story 0079: Rise from the Ashes is really fun (for the Sega Dreamcast). It's one of the best mobile suit simulators I've played! Though there are other Gundam Side Story's, like one with the Blue Destiny Unit 1 (or 2).
Basically, if you are a hard-core Gundam fan like me, just go for any Gundam games and you'll usually like them. Word to the wise; don't go buy the ratings magazines and others give games... I never agree with the ratings!

Good point, alot of magazines might give quite poor ratings for Gundam games if they aren't fans of the series. For fans though the games might be wicked, the chance to pilot an MS is always cool.

I've played most of the old Gundam games which are emulated. I try to avoid the 20+ SD Gundam games on the SNES though.
A lot of the older games are untranslated strategy games so they aren't much use to most of us really.
Some of the best emulated Gundams games I've played are-

Z Gundam on the NES: Probably the best NES game ever, really classy platformer/shooter for it's age.

V Gundam on the SNES: Once you get the hang of the controls it's a fun game to play, nice graphics.

Wing Endless Waltz: Despite being based on that pile of trash Wing, it's a great fighter. Maybe even better then Battle Assault.

Z Gundam on the SNES: Cool strategy/shooter game which follows the plot of the series closely, pity there's no English patch available.

I only got Battle Assault 2 on PSX recently.
It's an ok game, not brilliant, but fun if you're a Gundam fan.

Fed Vs. Zeon is the game I bought a PS2 for, and it was worth it.
Brilliant game, some of the best fun I've had in any game.
The campaign mode is excellent.
Can't stand those space missions though, they're no fun.

 

Yeah,I thought Battle Assault II was gonna be cheesy like the first,but it wasnt.It was way better.The MS selection is great.I was happy to see Nu Gundam in it.A 7 out of 10 in my book.(it was too short)

 

I ahve seen and heard alot about it- I was going to get it from an order place before i got my PS2 but i never got round to it! But most peole i've talked to about it they said that i was strange controls. But apart form that they said it was good!

 

If you want a really good PS2 Gundam game I would stick with Federation vs Zeon,the other ones have thier bad spots,Fed vs Zeon doesnt have to many problems.Not only that but it also has the most detail(on the mobile suits) of any other Gundam game out at the moment.Go with Fed vs Zeon.
