Anyone here build any Gundam model kits?Which ones have you built?

Ive built a snap together Zaku II,snap together RX-78 Gundam(from Mobile Suit Gundam)Im gonna find a model kit of Master Gundam from G Gundam soon....:anime:

Can someone tell me if they have seen a model kit of the RX-93 "Nu Gundam" from Chars Counterattack?(I need to build this Gundam!)

On a side note:I like snap together models because they arent as messy as glue together models. That, and some glue together model kits dont move.:(

I've got some 1:100 (I think) models of Sandrock Custom, Heavyarms Custom, and Wing Zero Custom. Yeah yeah, they're the Wing models...but they look good. Especially with Sandrock's cloak, and Heavyarm's clown mask. :D They're unpainted though, even though they're built, cuz I'm too lazy for that....though I might just add a layer of clear coat. And I'll probably end up getting the Gundam Wing Zero Fix...cuz it looks great, is fully transformable to the ship...and looks a lot better than Wing Zero.

I also have a chibi version of the original X gundam, and Wing Zero Custom. Why? They're cute. And one guards over my car. LOL.

Actually, the place I got it from, had most of the Z gundam and X gundam toys. Well, the 1:100 models, and the chibis. Thing is, I don't know where you are...but the place is called orbit^2, and it's located...in Walnut, CA.

Orbit is actually a west-coast only store. Why not order online? I'm pretty certain that a lot of orbits stuff is bought in bulk then delivered, not much diff. between that and buying online. If it's a credit card thing, just find a place that uses money orders. I'm pretty sure that toy stores carry Gundam models now, but I'm almost as sure that they only release them as series come out too. I'm sure you've also already tried this, but what about searching yellow pages, or the 'net for some local anime shops? I live nearly in anime central, which is probably why there's so much here readily onhand.

IMO, though, I'd go for online stuff. I've been ordering stuff online for a while, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Not with service, and not really with product. And the only time I was disappointed with product was the BGC2040 box set, because it wasn't really a "box". Dang wording..."perfect collection" my patoot!

I do get stuff online, its just that the one time I got a model off the internet it got messed up in shipping process, some of the pieces were broken.I'd rather get my model kits from stores. That way I'd avoid that.

    Gundam

Jeez, I've built so many Gundam model kits I can't possibly name them all. I have all the kits from Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz. Now I have all of the kits from the Mobile Suit Variation series. All of the Original Gundam kits (other then the space ships), all of the V-Gundam and G-Gundam kits, the gold G-Gundam kits, missing two of the ZZ Gundam kits, one of the Z Gundam kits, Gundam X, all of the 08th MS Team, all the Gundam 0080, missing the Gerbera Tetra for Gundam 0083, got most of the Universal Centuray (other then the newest Zaku II Char custom), and many more. Hopefully there will be kits for Gundam Seed, and more for G-Gundam! :D
Also, a good place to order kits is www.gundamshop.com (Gundam Shop) and www.gundamw.net (Gundams Plus). Also, check just regular model shops and toy stores. Some model shops even let you order.

I remember having one tiny green ship which was basically...

Main body, 2 engine nacelles, a few turrets, and these little wing thingies.

    I really loved it because...
    1) It was simple.
    2) It looked great.

However it ended up getting damaged when me and some friends were using it as a prop in a movie for school... one of the nacellels broke along with a wing on the command tower...

And I ended up using it later as a crashed ship prop in a mini-movie.

I miss it, where-ever it is.

Are there a lot of ship models? I'd like to fine tune my model building technique with those rather than mechs first...

Don't ask me why, I just love capital ships...

Yes, there are ship models! For example, there is a Gaw, Zanzibar class ships, the White Base, Musai, ect. They are the original Gundam model kits and require glue and paint. If you don't believe me, go to www.gundamshop.com and click on the "Original Gundam" link. You'll see the ships, mobile armors, MS, and more there! Take a look.
