Gundam Gundam Vs. Battle Mechs Which is Better?

In the universe of best big bad mecha is played between two universe (Well to me anyways):
The Gundam Universe (Anime) and the Battletech Universe (Game)

Of these two big mecha universe, which one reigns supreme?
If these two universe were to collide which one would win?
Do they both suck?
Am I smoking too much weed?

Comparing Gundam Universe vs. Battletech universe is like comparing Star Trek and Star Wars. Gundam is cool, but the focus in Gundam is on the individual soldier, the guy that just tries hard to make the best of a bad situation. The focus in the Battletech fiction was mostly the politicians and leaders. As a result, Battletech focused a lot more on the big picture than Gundam ever did. And as far as which would win in a fight? I think the question is silly. "Which would win? A star destroyer or the Enterprise-D?"

Anyway, Gundams would win. They don't have to worry about heat, they're much bigger, if they get in close a battlemech is bloody screwed. That is of course assuming that the weapon level is roughly equal.

depends on weapons and stuff like that but i think all an all a Gundam would kick any mechs ***..yup yup

Oh, also a minor note... Battletech weaponry tends to take a couple shots to destroy a tank. Meanwhile there are Gundams with weapons that (from what Im told) can penetrate underground bunkers in one shot. The flight, plus that weapon strength, totally screws over Mechs.

 

It really depends on the match up, a Daishi would smash the tallgeese in a second flat, but against heavyarms it would lose.

 

I'd say that's a major bloody note since you just put Gundams weponry way above anything a mech has.

Gundams are almost invincable in gundam wing thats the only reason I don't like that part of the series and I seriously doubt a mech could stand up to them.

 

Daishi = freakign landpig , gundams can literally hover above it at 1201 meters and just shoot the hell out of it(max range = 1200m on mech weapons)

 

sry but a Daishi WOULD slaughter tallgheese, its a givin, but of course we would need damage totals for weponry and armor abilitys so this is a moot point, *is possibly the ONLY BT fan out there...sob*

gundams would, but a mech would put up a fight is there was a decent pilot

 

that is so true so I picked gundams plus there cool and all but actually comparing the 2 is unfair
