I played Halo this week with my cousin and best friend. They both came here (I have an Xbox) and damn! My best friend plays this since a good while so he was totally owning us big time.. It was like
Paul-Andre (Best Friend): 47 Kills
Pierre-Luc (Cousin): 18 Kills
Sebastien (Me): 3 Kills
Yes, yes, I know.. I suck at these kind of games, But it's so much fun! And it was my first time playing after all.. I was like yelling like mad.. WHY DID YOU KILL ME AGAIN?! Lol. Paul Andre was using that purple jet thing and killing me, then I would re-appear at the same place like 5 times in a row.. That was just totally cheap.

That's called spawn killing and yes it is a cheap way to get a +1 on you kill ratio. It's also a very unpopular and hated way of killing things. Would result in ban if he was to play online (PC) in big games (talking about 20 vs 20)

only 16 players on Xbox Live, so far.
must wait for Halo 2, live... Halo will be out on pc, or so i hear, but not Halo 2, i guess they're trying to get pc gamers to get an xbox, but you'll show 'em different. i wish my pc was good, i want that battlefeild 1942 game...

 

Only 16 players??? What you mean 8 vs 8? Well that isn't that great seeing that Halo is kind of like Unreal (correct me if I'm wrong) and would be much better if more players can participate.

I want to play Battlefiled 1942 as well but it does require pretty dang good specs to play, and of course a very good video card. I tried the demo for Battlefield and it doesn't even run on my pc, grrrrrrrrr, I checked the internet and it says Battlefield will have a few probelms running with Nvidia Geforce 2 MX <---- Which is exactly what I got. I dunno, the problem could be solved now and seeing that it was only the demo that didn't work. I may be complicating myself in thinking that the actual game won't work as well. Which is not always the case

How does the online system work for consoles because I've been totally out of date with consoles for the past 3 - 4 years so I really don't know much. What do you play it through? Does it work similarly to PC gaming online? What connection do you use for it? Is it possible for PC users to play with X box users?

 

I like halo. probably the best game on x-box.

i mean seriously. i admit. it is a decent game. but then all the games apart from that on x-box are ****. that is why it seems so good. cause it is surrounded by crappness.
this is why x-box is so ****! i mean, seriously. when was halo realeased? 99? 2000? well its been 3-4 years since then and you are still going on about halo. all of yous still hovering around ONE single game.
ps2, on the other hand, we realese more games, we move on. we dont keep hanging around 1 single game and use that as the basis of all our arguments why x-box is better.
all i ever hear from x-box owners about theyre games from the day it was realesed to this very dy is "halo this" "halo that" my god. And they dont say things like "Halo is uniqe and original" cause its not. they say things like "wow! look at the grass! its so real!"wow. grass.
name one good game APART from halo that is on x-box. i mean, 1 that is not a crappy rip of a nother game, one that is actually fun to play, one that is not already on another consol and one that does not involve a cat with a vacume cleaner.

I knew it could only be one person.. You're one of the only people who keep *****ing about stuff on this forum.. And what's all this "we" crap?? And tbh there are good games that come with Xbox, you just didnt look long enough.

[Edit] The new controller came out last year. i don't know if you're still using the old one, they moved the buttons and it's smaller. i think it's better, by opinion. I find it funny how you can make all that junk up, do you own an xbox? if so what games do you own, oh, there aren't any, i better throw away the 5 titles i own. 5 may not seem like much to ps2 owners, i also own a ps2, i only have a few games, the two red factions and the navy seals game. from what i hear all these ps2 fans, needing more games it sounds like they must own at least 100 games. and microsoft needs to do something right cuz they can't seem to get very many exclusive titles, that's where i agree.

it's been out longer, just remember that the PS2 had a crappy start as well

how about morrowind and Panzer Dragoon Orta? how about games like fable and sudeki that will be out soon?

Halo is good, yes, but nearly every other game is mediocre.

i have to agree with you on the multiplayer factor but the game gets laggy when you play with only 4 players. which is why pc online games are better if you have the right stuff.

and for Battlefield 1942 you should get a new video card anyway. cause you will get to see the game a lot better and everything will run a bit more smoothly.

 

WHAT? the PS2 had a TERRIBLE launch, other than Z.O.E. and Dynasty warriors 2 there was nothing else other than a bunch of tech demos. the PS2 wasn't good until the fall of 2001 when games like DMC, MGS2 and GTA3 came out.
