    Tomorrow (22nd January 2004) is Chinese New Year. And it's the year of the Monkey. People like me will of course get those lovely red packets filled with juicy amounts of cash :D and, ummm money aside, fireworks and events are bound to happen in your local 'Chinatown' so I'd say it is a worthwhile visit to watch lion shows and whatever there is to offer.

    Nothing much more to say really... just a fact some of your might want to know.

    So... "Gung Hai Fat Choi" - (Cantonese) basically means hope you make more money lol... but it is a term used for happy chinese new year.

    Well Happy Chinese New Year. I don't celebrate but I do respect your holiday. One of my friends celebrate Chinese New Year and he only gets a dollar in the red envelope.

    1 measly dollar... to be fair that is outrageously unreasonable. Surely $10 would be the absolute minimum. With me you're talking between £20-£100 (around $35 - $160) :anime: ... per packet by the way. Part of this celebration is because of the mass piles of money I get

    Happy Chinese New Year from me :D

    ooh, red packets, gotta love them! But aside that, for me, it's (usually) the only other time I go visit some of my relatives... to catch up on who's gotten more prosperous (read: belly :D ).

    But maybe a larger stash of anime this year might mean prosperity :D

    In the boarding school I goto.. They gave -everyone- about 160 students, white envelopes ( They said they had a hard time finding red envelopes in Greenfield, Mass. ;P ), with a dollar in each -- And a red note inside. (;
