What's the hardest game you ever played?

    Mine was Good ol' Mechcommander.

You control 3 light weight mechs, you walk over a mine field, suddenly 4 Heavy Mechs shoots you with Strong Laser Beams, and BAM, one Mechs is gone, now you have to escape before the mines explodes, and you have 5 secs to escape...

It was mad hard when you are playing it...but luckly Micropose realised the Gold version, where you could change the difficulity...like that would change the game -_-

Operation Flashpoint on pc... excellent AI, one mission was nearly impossible to do. In fact loads of missions were really hard. And you are only allowed one save per mission.

Hmmm... For me it would have to be Final Fantasy V. I mean, it takes forever to build up the job levels, and the bosses are pretty tough.

This will probably sound silly to most, but I found all games in the Mega Man series the most difficult to play. I just could not get used to the strange way he jumped and moved. I never finished any of the games.

    /me shows his age, somewhat.

I'd say Epyx's Impossible Mission. It's an old C-64 platform where the object of the game was to prevent nuclear world destruction.

You had limited time to run around a fortified underground base filled with traps and robots in order to find pieces of a puzzle, then piece it together.

Fun, but nearly impossible as the title suggests. Got infuriating sometimes.

Galerians for the original PlayStation. That game was almost impossible sometimes. You play this psychic kid, and for some reason the game designers thought it would be a good idea to put in a meter that goes up all the time (a stress meter, sort of). When it hits full, you "short" and can kill everything around you in one shot, but you die after a while since it drains life. Add to that the fact that the little pills you can take to stop the effect, along with healing items, are few and far between, and you end up wandering (at a walk, no less -- you can't run while shorting) until you die. And when you die your head sort of explodes. This game is cruel.

Oh, and did I mention that the last battle takes place in a) pitch darkness with b) invisible walls? You have to run in circles to avoid things, and then you'll hit a wall that isn't there. Of course, by the time you can get around it, you've been hit too much and die.

    Let's see...
I never beat Megaman (the original), as there were a couple jumps in Gutsman's level that were freakin' insane.
Heroes of Might & Magic 3's difficult sometimes because the computer cheats.
Star Wars Demolition, because it's hard to actually play that game without having an uncontrollable urge to turn it off (so I never made it very far in that one).
Gran Turismo 3, because my VW Beetle was never quite fast enough to win the cup.

And the final, overall hardest game I ever played Phantasy Star for the Sega Master System. I lasted about an hour in there before exploding.

To me, Silent Scope is the hardest game I have ever played because I get caught all the time. I guess I should scratch "becoming a spy" from my career goals

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell was hard. Such limited health and gadgets. Tooms, you might want to try this game, to help you become a spy. lol.
