    So, I'm curious - for those of you who've played any version of the farming sim Harvest Moon, who's your favorite girl overall? Personally, I've never been able to decide. ^^; I'm partial to Maria from the N64 installment and Gwen from Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland (PS2), but I've never found one who just really outshone all the others. Do you have a favorite girl who's different from the girl you prefer to hook up with? (Karen from HM 64 was cool, but egh, lousy wife... always dropping the eggs... XD)

    Make sure you also say why you like a particular girl, and which game she's in. :3 In my case, I liked Maria's personality quirks and the fact that one of the chores she'd do as a wife was pull weeds, which none of the others did. And Gwen... I dunno, I liked her character design better than the other girls from the PS2 game. Since it didn't involve marriage, though, I suppose it doesn't really count.

    Sorry if this has been asked before. ^^; I did check, but it seems like a topic that logically would've come up, so I'm a bit paranoid even though I didn't find anything similar.

    ...Yes. I was bored when I posted this. ^^;

    None of them really stood out to me. But that's probably because I was too busy working ... I mean playing ... on my farm.
    Seriously, a game about working ... who's idea was that?

    Indeed, but you have to admit it's addictive. XD The irony is, I bought my first Harvest Moon game (N64 version) with money I made at my first summer job - which was as a yard maintainence assistant. *snicker* Who'd have thought that weeding, watering, and planting could be so entertaining in videogame form when it sucks having to actually do it? XD

    No, if you want irony, I have it for you. One of the guys down the hall is addicted to the N64 version. What's he do for a living? He's a farmer.

    Having only played the SNES Harvest Moon and Harvest Moon 64, I have to say my preference is Maria in both, although I really like Popuri in HM64 too.

    ...It's kind of sad that these sorts of threads are always the ones that attract my ecchi self first. :anime:

    I've played HM 64, HM: BTN and HM: AWL. From the 64 version, Maria was my favorite. she's just so sweet and innnocent. from BTN, it was the same way. can't be a shy girl with glasses. and from AWL, I like Nami. Nami is quiet, smart and quick-witted. I like people who can out-smart me.

    I recommend anyone get Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for Gamecube. it's a beefed up version of HM and it's got a bunch of new and spiffy stuff. it's not saving a farm this time, it's just enjoying life. I like the fact that you can raise a kid and people move in and out from the village, so it's not always the same thing year after year. I'm on my fourth year out of thirty. I can't wait to get to the next chapter. ^_^

    I'd love to see the possibilities for the Gamecube installment's romance. (The HM series is probably the only outstanding example of a time when I've really liked any heterosexual pairings in a game. o_O Maybe because you really get to interact with the girls, as opposed to having a relationship that develops with the plot whether you want it to or not?) With more powerful consoles, there's just so much more potential for interesting characters and interaction. I'd like to see the characters from the N64 and PSX games appear in newer installments, that'd be neat. ^^

    Now, if only they'd allow ANY of the single characters to pair off, regardless of gender. XD I admit, I spent a good deal of money in HM:BTN buying jewelry for the guys... *snerk* Eh, I'm hopeless.
