    ******** KYOTO ARC SPOILER *******

in a true samurai spirit a warrior not killed in battle is supposed to comit seppuku because it would be a shame to return to their masters in such disgrace...the ones that give up usually give up because there getting the a$$'s kicked by a man wielding a reverse blade sword and who has sworn never to kill again...and shishio burst into flames because he surpassed his time limits and his blood boiled to the point where his skin and other organs cooked themselves and he burst into flames ^^;;; ouch whatta way to go...

[BMS Edit: Please mark spoilers accordingly. Thanks.]

Well that IS a cruel death! Geez, well at least Shishio fought 'til the final end, and that's something to admire, now isn't it?

    Have you noticed...

...how many are so quick to commit suicide, only to be stopped and saved by Kenshin (and to a lesser extent, Sano)?

...how often Sano chews on a fishbone while leaning against something?

...how that every Kenshin-gumi member's voice is supplied by a female except Sanosuke?

...how Kenshin is so impolite and almost always ends his sentences with "de gozaru"?

Quite a many things in RK to take notice, if you look well enough. ^^

Well the "de gozaru (yo)" is nothing new to any Kenshin-connoisseur (sp?), neither is Sano's fishbone, and the cigarettes of Saitou...

actually De gozaru is a older more polite form of desu just as Sessha is a really old and very polite form of watashi but i wouldnt call it being impolite more of him trying to keep his threats as polite as possible...

If you want a good demonstration when a warrior commits suicide. Watch Kenshin OVA-1. It tells a good meaning after Kenshin beats that ninja.

if your talking about the kyoto miwarigumi with the twin sword style he was just killed. The true way of a warrior tells that a samurai must hold his wakizashi in his hands point toward his stomache and make a cut across his stomache to make his guts spill then his second is to cut his head off...
