I've had a few "crushes", but I realize that I'm liking the person they're presenting. And, that's really only one aspect of them. I don't trust humanity enough in general to say, "Say! I think that's how they act all the time!"

I really don't see anything wrong with it. I think I've "grown out of it", however. Then again, maybe it's just I don't have anyone to "crush" with.

It's a bit embarrassing to just say it, but yes, I have. I've had a crush on someone I met over the internet. I dunno when it started, but some time after I brought her back here to BJP, I realized it. After awhile of talking to her, I think it's beginning to, and hope it will grow beyond the point of a mere crush.

The truth is, I'm pretty sure I'm falling in love with wing_goddess. I'm not totally sure how she feels about it, or about me, but I'm hoping for the best. :)

Yes. Yes I have. Although it's a little less of a crush and a little more of a "raw, animal magnetism" type of thing - but don't worry, it's completely mutual! The object of my erec...er...affections, the wind beneath my skirt, the snapple of my eye iiiiis *drumroll* the lovely and bootylicious Wing_Goddess! As soon as we renew our wedding vows in Hawaii, we're going to pack our alligator purses and hitchhike to Laughlin, which we feel will be the perfect environment in which to raise three bouncing baby loan sharks! I'll be the one bringing in a steady income (as a blackjack dealer) and ol' Wing_Goddess is currently trying to land a job as a physicist (she's got connections, though, her great-great-grandfather's iguana once belonged to Freud). *smooches W_G* I luff you!!!

Anything preceding this sentance is not intended to be taken seriously ^_^. (Especially since Shinryu wasn't kidding when he told me that he'd beat me to professing his love for W_G ^^)

Honestly? I don't think I'd rule it out entirely, but I wouldn't be the one to initiate an online relationship. As to whether I have an over-the-net crush currently? That's for me to know and you to find out ^_^.

Edit: Things are going to get interesting when the various sides and angles of the b.jp love octagon get in here =P

Eh, Shinryu, your secret is out :p ah well, you already know what i think :p hehehe.

Also... K_A... Wow. I know i've said it before, but i'll say it again. Your randomness never ceases to amaze me. I love that story there ;) Even though before you were claiming to have done naughty stuff with my bf or Shinryu =___= whoever you meant. Gah, if my bf reads this he'll beat me ;;;>___> But he has 5 University exams to study for and doesn't know about BJP soo... i'm good! ha ha ha ha. j/k

The BJP Love octagon? LMAO!! wow, that's a great nickname.

    (>'.')> ... PANDA COOKIES RULE!

NOTE: i'm not one for internet romances-ness. i prefer being able to at least see and talk to them in person at least sometimes instead of going around and saying "we're lovers" when umm... maybe used the hard drive? *COUGH* so yea, i'm not one to fall in love with ppl over the internet. I'M NOT ANOTHER BJP LOVE OCTAGON =P (still laughing from the nickname)

I don't see the point. For all we know that person could be lying. Even if they posted a picture. So I don't get crushes but I will have friendships.

Yeah agree with Basher...I think internet relationships are soooo RETARDED AND FAKE!!! They are stupid...I can so totally go online to one of those low life "hook-up" sites...and totally lie about myself. I could put a picture of an infamous model, say it's me...talk about crap that has nothing to do with me...talk to people I don't know who could be those disgusting sex addicts, who will find out where I live..come to my house to rape and then kill me.

NO THANK YOU!!! I am perfectly fine with how I make relationships outside of the internet! I'll make friends on the internet...but it would NEVER get farther than that. Besides...what's more fun than having the "real thing" right next to you...than having an image of a person that you "think" you know in your head?

Yeah...that's what I'm talkin' about!!! I would definetely rather have someone that can hold you in their arms till no end...*sighs*...I love that feeling....I want someone real...someone who wouldn't be fake with me...someone that I wouldn't need to find on the internet...but that would be in front of me the whole time...when I'm not even looking. *sighs and falls swayingly* True love can never be found elsewhere, but in your heart!!! ^_^

THANK GOD THAT I'M RIGHT!!! Plus...I don't think that my boyfriend would think the same way about me as he does now, if he knew I was into all that crap...which I;m not...obviously. I care for him dearly...I'm just glad that he's the type who would NEVER be fake with me! ^_^ He knows about this thread...even though he doesn't go on here (b/c he doesn't like anime)....but he totally agrees with me!

DAMN RIGHT. i'M RIGHT!!! WHAT WOULD YOU GUYS DO WITH OUT ME? I mean...COME ON!!! ^_~

Although, you should recognize there are advantages that the internet has that real life lacks. For one thing, you get to know the person as they are, rather than the mask they show the world. I've said it before, if you ever met me in real life, you'd probably never give me a second glance, or think much of me. But here, well, honestly, I'm popular and well-thought of, and respected. This is the real me you all see here. I don't project any kind of a mask here, I'm honest and open.

Yes, there are drawbacks to the net. You can't hold the person, or embrace them, or anything that involves touch or sight. And there is the possibility that you're being lied to, although it's the same in real life. In reality, you can be lied to about who someone is on the inside. Someone could pretend to be a nice guy but actually be an abusive jerk. And online, someone could pretend to be that hot young woman, and be an old man, we all know that. The internet has as many drawbacks as advantages, but so does real life.

I think it matters not where your relationship starts, but rather that it's an honest, open one where you both care about each other and respect each other. What's important in a relationship is not the touching, or the things you tell others, it's the feelings behind it. The emotions behind a relationship are what matter, not the front of it, not the physicality, or the words you say.

I've never had a crush on someone from Internet, maybe because i never took people on internet seriously. I have to really, really like a person to develop a crush on him. But my other friends develop crushes on the net all the time. Am i strange :dizzy2: ??

Anyway, it's a matter of personal preference. To some people it's just as odd that I'm falling for wing_goddess as it is that I was always obsessing over Cherry. To others it's perfectly alright. It's just up to the person.

I say that love is love, regardless of where it is found.

You got your love forum right there!! :p

In my personal openion, you might be able to have a crush on someone online. But you can't love that person unless you see him/her in reality, therefore being able to judge.

Anyway, try to stay in topic :p
