Ranma 1/2 Have you ever wondered?

    I was thinkign about it once, and i thought...

    "Couldn't Ranma have cured himself by just falling into the pond of 'drowned young man'?"

    I mean, assuming the tour guide knew which pond it was and that there WAS such a pond.

    Yeah, that's the whole cure thing which Ranma's been searching for. The springs weren't marked upon Ranma's arrival...something about a storm passing through to rip up all the post signs. At least, that's what Jusenkyo Guide said. Spoiler ahead, so be prepared.

    In fact, the very final part of the manga has Ranma awakening when his parents and Tendo ambushed him and clonked him out. When he wakes up, he's dressed in a Tuxedo and is gonna marry Akane! Soun tries to bribe him with a jug of Spring of Drowned Man. I won't say more since it's a great little arc...very well worth the read.
