Hello

Hi everyone,

My name's Jon Richards and I've just joined the group. It was Tomita
that started my interest in music, way back when I was about 10 years
old - almost 20 years ago! After hearing 'Kosmos' and 'Pictures..'
for the first time, I was addicted - I took up piano lessons and
shortly after, bought my first keyboard and gradually progressed to
the set-up I have today

Anyway, I look forward to meeting you all!

Hi Jon, and welcome to the group! I'm Ben, and did the website,
along with the formidable John Breslin.

So tell us about your current setup.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the welcome. My studio set-up is not that impressive
really, save for the fact that when I was younger, I yearned to have
a synth or two for many years. I just feel grateful to own what I own
now. My first instrument was a reed organ - 3 and a half octaves! Not
too daunting for a 10 year old to practice on initially, but as I
progressed my folks invested in a basic Casio keyboard, which had 4
octaves and 6 sounds!!

These days I own a Roland XP-10, XP-80, Yamaha S03 and the much
maligned, but rather excellent Yamaha DJX - more than I ever dreamed
of having If I had been told this when I was 10, then I would have
slept through the following 17 years, as waiting would have been to
much!!
