I'm learning Japanese right now, but I'm stuck on the 'o' that follows the direct object of a sentance.

I know where to stick it in, but I just don't know during what sentances. The whole direct object thing is getting me all confused and even though people try to explain it to me, I just don't get it. o0; Yes, I *am* that stupid.

So, if someone could help, I would greatly appreciate it. =) yeah.

The o particle means action. To do something.
Like anata o taberu means "to eat you". It's rather simple. First, the noun that you wish to do it on (in this example, anata) then o and the action you wish to do, ie taberu (eat).
