*Makes a ridiculously obvious suggestion that nobody here should NOT be able to tell what it is.* :D

    Saber Marionette J

EDIT: Since it looks like you're the kind who prefers more violent anime, I'd suggest Trigun or Rurouni Kenshin, if you haven't seen them yet.

Perhaps Saiyuki? These kinds of anime aren't really my type, but I'll suggest these.

[IMG][IMG][IMG]OK GUYS WE HAVE AN EMERGENCY HERE[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Grab as much Ghost in the Shell as you can, follow it with a healthy dose of Record of Lodoss War (OVA -and- TV series) and chase it all down with Macross Plus.

If GITS confuses you, fear not...It confused me as well. Well, my suggestions are Revolutionary Girl Utena, Chobits, Gravitation, The macross franchaise, Wolf's rain, The Getbackers, Mezzo, Saiyuki, Darkside Blues(just like VHD), Big O, Arjuna, Lodoss war, and Patlabor(1,2 and 3).

Try those, and tell me what you think^^

The Irresponsible Captain Tylor is an oldie, but a goodie. Bakuretsu Hunters is also a fun one to watch and so is The Slayers...I liked Pet Shop of Horrors, but if you're not in to creepy you might want to stay away from it. Some people didn't get Gokudo no Manyuki, but to me it was one of the funniest spoofs...and I enjoyed s-CRY-ed as well, some of these you might want to look into.

The macross saga is one of the most ingenuic titles of it's time. I mean, I loved it when I was younger, and am now re-watching Robotech. I think Rick Hunter was such a dork, everyone can relate to him^^

Thanks ive been muling over watching Nadesico for a while.....i think i'lldef have to look it out.
I have however become increasingly glued to things like Berserk, Trigun and Samurai Champloo, however im not at the end of them yet.
Only 5 more epidoes of each to watch.
and all 3 get more and more interesting 2wards the end :)

By all means keep adding guys if you have nemore to add. i was however searching through Animenewsnetwork and found some that look interesting, if you can give me any sort of verdict on them please do so i know whether to steer clear or not.
These include Demon Lord Dante, Demon Warrior Koji, Gilgamesh, Judge, Mad Bull and Nightmare Campus
    give me your thoughts guyz?
    cheers :)

It's one of those romantic series. My favorite kind! :)

I got the third volume of the manga by accident, thinking it was the first, so I know a little bit about it. From what I read (1 chapter, I'm waiting until I get the first two volumes) it's pretty good. I'm interested enough to want to get the rest and find out what I missed, anyway.

yeah, i'll check it out, although im more interested in the violence angle, i do tend to like most other manga's in general. I mainly treat manga and anime as i would any live action movie or tv series, its all the same really nowadays, they used to be able to make things look much better in manga and anime but with cgi etc now, they can do just as much in movies.

I have been recently starting to watch GANTZ, and think its fantastic, only seen a few episodes so far but getting really interested in the story.

I have now finished watching samurai champloo and Trigun and loved them both. More Trigun and champloo tho, champloo was just a bit wierd and the storyline often was too random for my liking, but trigun was fantastic.

If ne1 has nemore to suggest id love to hear bout them, ive also just seen the first episode of Gungrave and thought it was amazing too. these are the types im most into but i love all anime.
Stepmothers Sin was another i started watching recently and although its not the normal type of anime id watch, it became quite interesting also.

well keep them comming guyz and thanks again.

    Gantz & others

Try Gantz. It's full of raw action. Story is mysterious.
Also, E's Otherwise. It's a lot of psychic fighting.

Well I cannot believe that these were not said. Weiss Kreuz, Inu-Yasha, X, Witch Hunter Robin, Psychic Acadmey, Beet the vandel Buster, Hunter x Hunter, and BLEACH. I have gotten a few anime haters to see Bleach now they watch it. Not many episodes into it. Not in english yet but I believe you can find it.
