Japanese Help with translation please?

    Greets, all!

    I need help translating a word into Japanese for my Hero's backstory on City of Heroes MOG.

    The word is 'Earthshine'.

    Definition (to help translator): The sunlight reflected from the earth's surface that illuminates part of the moon not directly lighted by the sun. Also called earthlight.

    Don't laugh, but I came up with this with an online dictionary:

    daichi teru

    Is that right? It probably means something goofy like: glowing mud or some such.

    chi no hikari - "light of the earth"
    chi terasu - "illuminate earth"
