Recreation Here's a scary thought...

What if Boards.jp disappeared tomorrow, never to return? What would you do? (along with Boards.ie, .us, and .geek.nz)

(I dunno, let's say Cloud had all of his websites closed for some reason)

(And, don't worry, it won't. It's a hypothetical question. Ask Cloud if you don't believe me)

I'll let you know what I'd do as soon as I see responses.

 

Then i would semply go to one of the other boards site, either boards.ie, boards.us or boards.geekz.nz. Life would just semply move on.

 

Oh, right. I forgot about those ones. :sweat: Let's say they disappeared too.

Well, I'd be very sad. When first I saw, I think, a bandwidth problem and I couldn't enter BJP I was scared a bit, since I couldn't talk with some persons. But since I can contact them by other ways it's like Kain said.

 

I'd probaly be shocked and try again and again until I'd realise that it's gone. same thing tomorrow, and the next day. Then I'd move on. Although I wouldn't easily forget about the boards.

 

Geez, everyone's so blase about it. Do you really think you would just move on?

I dunno, BJP means a lot more than that to me. Since... I can't remember when, I've thought of it as a second home. I feel as though it's one of the few places I belong. If BJP disappeared, I wouldn't be happy, I'll say that. I'd miss all of my friends here, I'd miss all of the discussions that went on here. I can't really say what I'd do, but I wouldn't ever forget about this place.

(BTW, seph, I'd check it every time I log on. My home page is the BJP forum index. )

 

One word... 'Mehhh'. Sure, Boards.jp is a fun place to be but my life doesn't depend on it. I'll probably end up getting out more... but that's it really. Not playing down Boards.jp, as long as it's around I'll be around.

Well, I don't really know very many people here that well yet, so I'd probably just go post someplace else. At the same time I'd miss it here though, I found it pretty easy to settle in at boards.jp. It's hard to find a good community.

I used to be pretty friendly with some people in a forum I visited regularly which for some reason was changed and a lot of the old members were hard to get in contact with after that, our little group was broken up It's a pain in the ass if you're just completely cut off from people like that. But there's more things to life than the interweb =p

 

No doubt boards.jp is like a second home (er...third, I count the internet 2nd). Sure it'd scare the living crap out of me when i try to log on and its not there, but theres always other things to do.

I'd just...Get over it....I mean, I'm not obsessed with this site like I am with Gaiaonline, so I would just move on.

 

It's not that big of a deal. I'd just visit the other boards I go to.

 

If all the other sites went as wel, then i'd probably get back to work and stop messing around in the library.

I agree with SaberJ2X I would get bored with the net and i wouldn't be able to talk to my friends around the world i feel like i actually belong on this so my life would be missing a huge chunk of happyness...but i say this if cloud did shut this blessed forum down then he's going to see a umfamiliar face at his house waiting for him this is hypothitical though so i don't have to worry about buying a plane ticket...*closes the window for expidia*

 

This may sound corny but i kinda think of the boards as a secret place. Nobody else knows about it and its place where i can come and just chill. so i'd be upset but i'd just go hang out with my friends at the mall.
