Art Here's my main girl, Tashanna

Wassup everyone. I haven't posted anything in a while, so here we go with. . . . . . ... my main character. Sorry this is an old drawing (and retouched), and yeah, the eyes were a lil off when I drew her (hey come on this was two years ago!). Plus her style of clothing here doesn't actually go with her personality, but oh well, I built into her personality that she likes to dress like this once in a while.

The thing with her is, I've never been able to recapture her look again. All my newer drawings of her are similar, and good, but I dunno... I base all my drawings of her on this one.

 

I really like this picture. She looks like a unique and interesting character. And guess what? She looks exactly like my neighbor!!! Freaky.

i'm with you guys. this is a very good pic. i can't see anything wrong with it. .
i always find it hard to draw the same character several times from different angles but hey, only human. Could you put up some of the other one's you've done of her?

 

Almost same here, it's a very good pic.. can't see nothing horribly wrong with it either. This might be a personal point of view, but it looks to me as if the forehead is a bit too big...maybe should have more hair ? also the hand looks kinda long...in a strange way ..it looks like it's the right lenght, but still is somehow too long...maybe i should buy spectacles..?

Nice pic. If there's one complaint i have with it, its that the pic is very very simplistic. Throw some tastles on it! add a foldy coat! add a background with an old man falling down a sewer!

Well, you get the pont, anyway. And yes, the face is very good.

 

I really like Tashanna too. I was hoping she wouldn't look like one of my old crushes, but she does a lil. :shy: Also, in my story Tashanna is supposed to be one of the skinniest characters (that way she'll have a hard time doing certain things), and likewise/coincidentally/probably-not-coincidentally, my old crush was also very, very skinny. She looks like your neighbor??? Is she Asian? (Tashanna is a mix of Asian and Portuguese.)

There actually are a few things wrong with it, but I tried to fix em up a lil. I have another drawing of her that I'll put up tomorrow or so...actually 3 pics of her. I bet you'll like those. Just remember that Tashanna belongs to me.

Oh, yeah. Her forehead, well..... I guess it might look like her hairline is a lil high, but it's not THAT high. But remember, most anime characters have their foreheads covered, so maybe you're just not used to seeing it. Also, most anime characters have a thick head of hair, while in this one I made it closely drawn to her head. That probably gives the illusion that her forehead is even bigger. Come to think of it, even my old crush sort of had a high hairline. :shy3:

As for her arm, I think her wrist wasn't thin enough, so it sort of throws you off. But the length is about right I think.

Heheh, yeah, all my characters wear plain clothes. But they're slowly getting more fashionable. As for backgrounds, I've never drawn them with my manga drawings, I think. But anyway, this drawing was from 2 years ago, when a three-quarters to full size body drawing was already impressive for me.
