This wonderful Chinese mainland movie featuring, Jet Lie, Zhang Ziyi, Donnie Yen, Daoming Chen, Tony Leung, Maggie Cheung, is going to hit the american cinemas by August.

One thing that has bothered me is that the name is the following:

" Quentin Tarantino Presents: Jet Li's Hero "

Has Director Zhang Yimou any say in this? Seems that Miramax is not giving him any credit. I am very upset when People from the states say to me " Hey, Have you seen Taratinos new movie? Hero or something? " It's Zhang Yimou's work, NOT Quentin's.

http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=7211 <=- Idle speculation about that here, apparently Miramax had no intention of bringing it to America or something and Quentin fought for releasing it here. *shrugs* Just what they're saying at least... otherwise, I have not a clue.

Just what I could find.. but in anycase, definitely have to, have to, have to, have to see this.

I was watching Hero on VCD a while ago, but only saw half of it cuz I decided to save the second disc for later. (And just never got around to seeing it!) The plot is pretty interesting... basically a combination of the present (where Jet Li's character is explain things) and flashbacks (showing how he got to where he is now), and the story itself gets more interesting as the action and motives get unravelled this way. Zhang Ziyi fans (especially male ones) are probably gonna like her part , even though it's quite small. And if you like massive war movies, yup there's a massive army in this one.
