What do you like to watch? What HAVE you watched? That can make a difference, you know. ;)

    Well, okay, classics:
    -Ranma ½
    -DNA squared
    -InuYasha
-Urusei Yatsura (Gee, can ya TELL I'm a Takahashi fan?...naaaaaaaaaaaah)
    -Kimagure Orange Road
    -Video Girl Ai
    -Golden Boy
-There are LOTS more, but that's all I can gleam offa the top of my head.

    Newer stuff:
-FLCL (Thanks MO and DL for recommending this, over and over and over! :D)
-Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou (Kare Kano for short)
    -Chobits
    -.hack//SIGN
-Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 (Me an' Phox can totally agree with this...:D)
-Boys Be... (I like this series, don't know why though...but the library episode was cool)
    -Noir
    -Hellsing
    -Shin Seiki Evangelion
    -GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka
-Tenkuu no Escaflowne (the movie was great)
    -Rurouni Kenshin
-Saber Marionnette R/X/JtoX/and that other one...there is another one, right? (A LOT of members love this here at M2A)
    -Scryed!
    -Full Metal Panic!
-Hikaru no Go (Thanks BB, and if this shapes up to be anything like the manga...it's great!)

Series I can definately vouch for:

    For Everyone
Saber Marionette J (and JAgain, JtoX) - the classic story of a guy, a war, and androids with emotions...Well written and expressed, and has everything on my list for the "Perfect Anime".

    For Comedy
Ranma 1/2 - Rumiko Takashi's classic tale of a guy who turns into a girl, an old man who turns into a panda, an enternally lost boy, and so on. To quote myself, "It's so stupid, it's funny." Features the strangest set of martial arts, a cast of colorful characters, and more antics than you can shake a stick at!

    For the RPers
Slayers (and Next, and Try) - great action-packed swords and sorcery in great humor fashion. If you're a fantasy or RPG fan, and you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and find it!

    For the Thinkers
Neon Genesis Evangelion - a sci-fi anime showing a possible grim future of Earth. If you like to be intrigued, if you like to have your messed with, and you like to try and interpret real messes, this is for you.

    For Humorous Romantics
Love Hina - Poor Urashimo Keitaro tries his best to search out and find a girl he made a promise to go to University with. What he ends up finding is a spot as manager at an all-girls dorm. Plenty of humor, romantical scenes, and anime cliche references for all...

    For Starting Fans
Tenchi Muyo! (and in Tokyo, Universe) - Three alternate series depicting the war over the man known as Tenchi. Sci-fi show with a notorious space pirate, an earthling boy, a royal princess, an eccentric scientist, and much more. A nice one to cut your teeth on, if you're new to anime in general.

    For Action Fans
Rurouni Kenshin - If you like the notion of Samurai fighting, Kenshin be da man! A long running series, following the journey of a former assassin. Every character has a very real and distinct personality, that makes this a very hard anime to turn back from once you start watching.

    For Sci-fi Fans
Cowboy Bebop - Bounty hunting, anime style. A cool sci-fi with some interesting chases as we unravel the pasts of Spike, Jet, Faye, and even the notorious Ed. Lots of good scraps for the action fan.

Fruits Basket, it's bleedin rappadh. Probably the one of the funniest animes I've ever seen(probably tied with FLCL) and it's got a really good story too.
Trigun is really good too, a bit slow to start, but great story.
Lain, kicks *** in a really ****ed up kind of way.
I haven't seen all of it, but Giant Robo kicks ***.
Them and everything everyone else has said.

You can check out the first (and only) three episodes of Angel Sanctuary... as long as you don't mind transvestites, cross-dressers, and incestuous romantic and homosexual relationships. Rurouni Kenshin is really good, as well... I heard good things about Star Ocean Ex and of course, one of my new personal favorites, GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka! Yay!
