I loved the book, (don't we all?) but I was debating to see the film or not. Maybe it's just me, but I thought the actors they chose were alright, except that Zaphod didn't have two heads and Marvin bothers me with Snape's voice...
But the point is, has anyone seen it, and is it any good?

I am looking forward to the movie, even though it will take awhile when it reaches swedish cinemas. But one thing that I am glad is that they didn't use "famous" actors or actresses. This might be one of the best movies of 2005, who knows?

Although, it's usually said, books are better than the movies.

If I were you, watch it. Go for it. YOSH!

I agree with Yasuko that Alan Rickman wasn't really the right man for the part that he played. Other then that i thought that it was pretty good, and very loial to the book. Even though there were parts added to make it longer, these were all written by Adams himself before he died, and you can really tell that they blend into the storyline pretty well.

Best Part... The Babel Fish explanation. I'LL SAY NO MORE!!!

I have yet to see the film, yes a bit dissapointed to see Zaphod with some weird face in the neck area in the commercial. I really had a good laugh when the book told us how Zaphod 'Phil' was able to blend into that party on Earth..
Zaphod had his other head in a bird cage. He covered it up with a cloth and that head talked like a parrot.

I liked the movie, but it was missing some classic elements, such as this about the Babel fish:

I wonder if there will be an extended version of the movie for hard core fans of H2G2. I'd recommend the book over the movie any day.
