    Okay, they aren't exactly Hobbits, their scientific name is homo floresiensis. Maybe Tolkien read some ancient mythology about a civilization of smaller people and decided to add them to his stories. What do you think?

    We should have a science forum for stuff like this :p Although, it falls under anthropology more..

    Erm, anthropology is a type of science. It would still fit under the science category. Anyway if they find a ring I hope they toss it into the volcano. :p
