Celebrations Honduras

Well it looks like I'm going South this summer!

Plans have solidified and I will be going to Honduras for two weeks this summer. I'm going with this group of doctors who are working on setting up this hospital down there. Obviously, since I know jack about medical stuff, I just do grunt work, lifting and such, to help them set up but I'm really excited!

Anyone else here into service stuff, mission trips and what have you?

Better yet, anyone been to Honduras and can tell me what to expect?

 

I would be going on a Mission Trip this summer with my church to Kansas, but I've got to work the whole time I'm off in order to pay for the next year of college. Next summer, however, I'm trying to get into a co-op program with the Arecibo Radio Telescope in Puerto Rico (you know, that really big dish).

 

Yeah, if I didn't need the money myself, I'd also take a summer off and do something like this. I was brought up with a strong belief in such stuff, so I wish I could go out and do something like you are.
Damned tuition costs ...
