  1. For me, the very last excellent release is Daphnis & Chlo=E9 (Or "Bolero",=
    =20
    for the US release)...

Very understandable!.... But, please try and get into the world of=20
the "Dawn Chorus" -release, which is outstanding good in my opinion,=20
altough you have to get used to it's colder digitalish sounding. The=20
tracks are excellent due to the great composers appears on this album.=20
The Rachmaninoff's "Vocalise" is one of my all time favourite by Tomita=20
regardless of the lack of his personal existence mixed into synthesizers,=20
even if all the sounds are synthesized of course. Tomita just started=20
something new on the "Grand Canyon" and carried on that style till the=20
Back to the Earth, and from there Tomita is dead for me and I don't=20
keep track with his works from that on because I find nearly all Tomita=20
works silly Japanese traditional mindless childish shit since 1985. I find=
    =20
him a genious arranger and a groundbreaking pioneer but an=20
absolutely ungifted amatheur typical Japanese childish non-
individualistic composer. I'm sorry for saying this, but I'm a huge fan of=
    =20
his work of 1974-1984, but the later works I find unbearable shit.=20
There's no "music" in him but he just acts like that. He just plays music=20
sounds like they was melodies but not. I could describe the=20
pcychological effect of the music and the melodies but it takes too long=20
now but I add it on one's request. I have to say Tomita was a great=20
and loveable engineer and very sensitive player while he was forced to=20
creation. He was under the pressure of the million knobs to turn out=20
something from them so he HAD to turn to be a great musician. From=20
the years of the digital technologies on, he just sat back ang became=20
lazy and maybe tried of the old long taking process of becoming=20
individual. Tomita just stopped being an individual from 1984 on. All of=20
his works I've heard since, was terrible. He just manipulates with large=20
hall effects, monumental strings without real melody and with the silly=20
Japanese traditional stuff, which's affection he can't overcome because=20
the lack of individuality.... I've heard the Bach Toccata in D-minor from=20
his Bach Fantasy album, and as a Bach collectorwise I have to say: It is=20
the worst interpretition I've ever heard. If a musician can't feel even=20
the spirit if Bach and plays it like a mixture of a child and a cheap Casio=
    =20
onboard sequencer, then I just can say: He is the worst of the=20
musicians and has no place in the music scene anymore, because what=20
he does is poisoning the taste....... I'm sorry, I die for Debussy for Rave=
    l=20
(Daphnis and Chlo=E9 and everything else...), for Bach-master and for the=20
one who once transformed into a new synthesized form, but he is not=20
was he used to be those times....=20
    =20=20=20=20
