    Kaoru? I think he loves her. Though the age difference is a little scary (Kenshin is 11 years her elder).

    Is eleven years actually that bad? No, it isn't. When you kids grow older, the gap of 11 years is just not as big as you make it out to be at this moment in time. Trust me.

    Anyway, Kaoru *does* love Kenshin, and Kenshin *does* love Kaoru. I'm pretty much guessing (probably correctly) that you're watching the Cartoon Network version of Kenshin, correct? Well, anyway, Kenshin has a LOT of baggage with his past, and in dealing with it (I think) shuts Kaoru off because of all his past deeds/sins. He doesn't do it for TOO long though.

    well *SPOILER*

    it becomes painfully obvious to kenshin just about how he feels for Kaoru-dono when shes "killed" by Enishi. also there is a hidden/lost episode which bacisly is Kenshin and Kaoru in love ^^ so sweet ^^;;

    I suppose so, I don't really mind the age difference, just mentioning it. I'm just 14 right now and it would be kinda weird for someone my age to be with a 3 year old, as an example.

    well remember social patterns were different back them at 18 a women was halfway through marrying age and kenshin was married to tomoe at only 15 so things were different

    I've never actually seen the series, just the movie, so I don't know a lot about her. But from what I've heard, yes, Kaoru's much better there.

    quite ^^; well Kaoru is a kendo instructor and kenshins a kenkaku which makes them a decent pair

    Both of them do make a good pair, they both lead similar lifestyles which have to do with the sword arts. Kenshin's character seems better suited to be with Kaoru than, let's say, Tomoe.

    I would say that Kenshin loves her, but he is afraid to commit to her because of what happened to Tomoe.. he doesn't really want to cause her any danger. That is why he left to fight Shishio without her, is it not?

    yeah well he proved that in the first episode when he cooked that soup for her...and then sano said kaorus food sucked...although im not sure how one can ruin smoked fish ^^;;;

    yeah also during the Jinchuu Arc when Kaoru gets *killed* Kenshin says after it all he wasnt able to protect the one he truly loved...
