When the Full Moon Shines

Chapter 1:

It seemed like it would never end, while Suzaka kept on in the desert. For 2 weeks, he had been walking in the Valley of Fire (rumor had it, that the desert would just suddenly burst into flames). He was very hungry, for he had run out of provisions about 5 days ago, and had been living on all the small animals that he could kill. As the day went on, he just kept walking in one direction. He had no idea what time it was or what direction he was traveling. He had lost almost all the feeling in his lower half side.
Just as he was crossing a large dune, a throwing knife flew through the air and hit him in the right leg. Then, he felt his legs, especially the right one, now wounded by the knife. As he turned around, he saw a gang of bandits who roamed the desert.
“Give us everything you have!” one of the bandits commanded.
“If one of you can put a scratch on my chest, I will give you everything I have.” Suzaka replied with a sarcastic voice.
“I’ll kill you for that!!!” and with those words, one of the bandits charged at him.
Faster than the murderer was charging him, Suzaka grabbed his sword and quickly killed him with one swift swoop of his blade. Just as soon as the robbers saw Suzaka kill one of there own with one swing, they all charged him in an instant. “Charge!!!” All of the bandits wielding huge swords, all of them just waiting to try to kill Suzaka. Just as one of them swung his heavy blade at Suzaka, he just swayed his head to the left and easily dodged it. At the exact same time, Suzaka swung his blade and struck two of the remaining six bandits. The others just retreated a bit, quivering in what seemed to be fear, of the swordsman. There were only five left.
Two of them charged him, after retreating a bit. Suzaka just swung his blade and let both of them lose their heads. With the remaining four, Suzaka looked at them all for a couple of seconds, then, he just rose up his right hand, pointing it toward three of them. Then, a large fireball was just generated, in front of his hand; Suzaka hurled it at the three bandits he was facing. The leader, who was just standing there when his comrades were burned, turned around and began to run for all his life, screaming, “AHHHHHHH!!! Demon, Demon swordsman!!!”
Suzaka herd him he turned to the direction the man ran, and he started after him, going twice as fast as the bandit. Suzaka easily caught up to the man. He was right behind him. With no effort at all, Suzaka jumped on the man and landed right on top of him. As quick as lightning, Suzaka grabbed his sword and brought it to the bandit’s throat, “What is it that you want, murderer? Answer me!!”
“Uh, please kind sir, spare my life, I was forced to by the others.” The robber said, with barely enough space between the blade and his throat to talk.
“That is a lie, I saw you, and you were the one who ordered the others to charge!” Suzaka screamed as he dangled his sword to the man’s throat. Suzaka’s eyes almost pure red.
“Uh… please, we only needed some water and food.”
“Does it look like I am carrying and food or water?” When Suzaka saw a pile of provisions that the man had with him, he grabbed them all, with his sword now pointing directly at the man’s throat.
“You did not need any food or water.” Suzaka said, grabbing the entire pile of provisions, putting them in his brown provision sack, “Look at all these, you didn’t need anything from me, I think I will take them all.” Suzaka said wide-eyed as he looked at the food and water that he had not had for almost a week. “I think that I will let you live.” And with that, Suzaka turned around and ran towards the town of Dinsworth.

I was very impressed with the first chapter of your adventure. The conflict of your lead character keeps the reading intreed.

I invision him being a demon, but on his sword, dangles a small cross...
