Well...You gotta LVL up. And you need first strike with Yuna.
I just kept summoning Yojimbo hoping for Zanmato. I kept rs'ing until i killed him.

Lucky guy! You have the PAL version! *siiiiiigh* For those not in the know, the Dark Aeons are PAL only bosses in which you have the option to fight dark versions of all the Aeons you have. Super hard, and super crazy battles.

Anyway, the Dark Aeons are tough cookies. I'd just try to do what I always do in FFX. Overpower them with STRONG attacks that hit about 30 times before the boss has a turn. ;) Get whoever's your fastest and raise their stats up to as full as you can...or in my case, whom has 255 for everything (Tidus, Rikku, Yuna) and OVERDRIVE everyone...including Aeons. Using 255 speed or auto-haste should give you a pretty decent speed margin...especially with Quick Hit. Use someone to heal, even if she/he doesn't do much other than that...if that strategy doesn't work, comply by using every single Aeon you can in Overdrive and last as long as possible. Chipping away like that is actually pretty effective on bosses.

If you look in "who's the strongest" thread, there's a whole post I made about gaining levels. If you want, I'll come back, edit THIS post and plug the URL of the way to do so.

And the amount of money to make Yojimbo use any of his attacks depends on how his morality level is with you. A general rule is to never feed him less than 1,000 gil. Why? I don't know...but that's the general rule.

    I give him 1 - 100 gil (Depends on my mood =D ).
Eventually he will use it. Just a matter of time.

I wrote a leveling-up method in the same thread. Take a Look if you want.

Pretty much. The PAL has two sphere grids, and the option to start everyone from the center or where they originally are. There are also the Dark Aeons to fight. *sigh* If I had known that before buying FFX, then I would have payed good money to get the PAL version. I might, when it becomes a GH or gets really low on price on Ebay or some such. :D

Hmmm, I searched a bit (read: very quickly, and not SUPER thoroughly) and found that the PAL doesn't have an actual extra movie. I believe it's the Japanese Version that has it.

If you live in America, you're going to get the NTSC version. The only way I know of getting the PAL version (European Release, or International Release, really) is through Ebay. Go for PAL, it's more challenging. I don't know if PAL would play on an american released ps2, but, there should be at least SOME mods out there for the ps2, since it's been out for so long.

Edit: in Ebay, I meant, through general online stores. Sorry for any confusion.
