Also frequently known as the "Human complementation project" This is SEELE and therefore NERV'S ultimate goal. haha. you can never completely figure out eva. its too like pshychiological and ish. at least i cant.

hmm? how were evas used to initiate the third impact? wasnt the third impact further human evolution? like wasnt third impact what the human intrumentally project's goal? ahhhh...im confuddled.

Another reason why you might have trouble figuring out Eva is because not all the questions arisen are answered, much of the answers you'll find are just presumptions made by fans of the anime. It leaves you to draw your own conclusions.
