'Ello, I just got a spiffy book called "I Am a Cat" by Soseki Natsume and so far it seems pretty cool. It's kinda old but it's Jap. Literature and I thought maybe some peoples here would wanna read it. So I just wanted to tell everyone about it..

And I need to post in order to get a custom avatar...I think.

    Later,

It's very famous boook by Natsume Soseki. His photo is printed on 1000-yen bill. All Japanese know him and I know him too of course!!

'I am a cat' is a very interesting story. It is written from the point of view of a cat. The time is the Meiji Era and it's more than a hundred year ago:) Japan was being civilized dramatically then. The cat satirizes the society:) He thinks his owner is stupid and cruticises him:) It's funny.

This book is not so long unlike Ulysses and not so many characteres unlike War and peace:))))))) So you can read it easily:) Just try it:))))

    That sound sfamiliar...

No offense, but when i read the phrases "satirizing", "his owner is an idiot" i immediately remembered garfield.

Heheh.... I wonder if the book is as funny. :p

Well I got it at some d&d, collectible cards, comics, anime, all that kinda stuff store near by. But since it's jap. literature I'm sure you could find it at a barnes and nobles or books a million, whatever.

So far it's pretty cool, the cat's owner is a teacher who just sleeps all the time but complains how hard his job is to his friends. Right now I'm juggling between this book and Memoirs of Geisha which I also heard was very good. So I'll tell you guys how it is when I'm done...which be in a couple months probably since I'm a slow reader..
