Wow, after so long, (and a lot of Sachiko's nagging!!) I finally have finished watching the whole SMJ series. Wah! It was sad at the end! Well, jsut wanted to let ya'll know, that I THINK I can be able to participate in your chats now, cuz I KNOW WHAT's GOING ON! AT LAST!

Btw...a question. What did you think of Lorelei? Cuz I just thought she was kinda selfish. I know she wasn't trying to, but don't you get that feeling?

First off, welcome to the club! I know I've welcomed you before, but I never tire of welcomes...

For your question, I just wanna know a little more about your angle there...

I mean, explain how and why you though Lorelei a bit selfish. It's an interesting concept, and I may be able to agree if it's what I think it is...

Depending, I gather. She did seem selfish in regards to the Marionettes, to me. But, you gotta remember that in order for the female population to grow, *she's* gotta be alive, no matter what. A sacrifice for the greater good, maybe? Sorry if I misplaced the parts I'm talking about...it's been almost 6 months since I finished SMJ.

And yeah, the last part was sad...it wouldn't have been as bad if Izayoi wasn't playing...but they put it, so it hit me with its full effect. Gaaaaaaaaah. *sniffle*

Well, if you watch JtoX, you'll notice that Lorelei is responsible. But yeah, in J again she was a bit self-centered because she [ spoiler censored ].

But as wee see, in J to X Lorelei is always interested in the wellfare of everyone. And when the baby.... waaaaaaaaaah the baby *sniff*... well you gotta see episode 8.

So, to know her better you need to watch J to X. Inspired on her personality, i wrote some fanfics where she was able to give the marionettes a very motherly love ) (here i go again ^_^ )

But anyway. Congratulations for having finished J! Yeah!

I KNOW... *sobsobsob* That song (which I'd dled BEFORE I watched any of SMJ) is just...awesome... (singing along while crying is even SADDER...)

...Yes, Hikaru-san, clarify? Odds are I'll agree with you. (And you've seen more than I have because you've seen eps 1-9, which I haven't seen, so feel VERY proud. ^_~)

    aw....

Thanks so much for the welcome you guys!!! *hugs everyone while dribbling fat drops of tears*

Anyways, this is my first discussion about something SMJ! Kool!

OH! If you haven't finished watching J yet, maybe you should not read, because it's a spoiler! Ok, back to the point...

    I know she wasn't trying to be this way, but I thought it wasn't quite right of her to create something (or rather, somethingS) with a "heart" that could love and have feelings, but later make them replace her so SHE could come back, therefore taking away their happiness. Did I get too confusing? Well...I know that she wasn't planning on it to happen the way it did, but it's just this feeling. Hope you got that! ^_^;;

ANd both Izzy Izumi and Stardust Phox are right about the music! It really added to the atmosphere!

    WAI! Sachiko-san! and Baka-san! and everyone-san! (lol!!)

Oh, that's what you were thinking...

Well, if it helps, it is mentioned that Lorelei was developing the circuits to complete the Mesopotamia. They weren't originally intended to be seperate entities...but that's what happened.

Hm...yea, probably it wasn't all her fault... but it's just this opinion I was predisposed to after watching so much of Lime and Cherry and Bloodberry having fun, and then finally they say they must go to replace Lorelei!

    ***SPOILER WARNING ***

Yeah. They were supposed to be as a support to STABILIZE its emotions. But Lorelei never suspected they would have feelings of their own! (and this is what makes the show interesting!)

But then again, they were designed to EMULATE Lorelei's personality, to "create an artificial Lorelei", which we could see in that episode. As for that I wrote a fic of my own where the mesopotamia comes down to Terra II - not the ship, but the circuit alone.

I have no comments :p Everybody said what I want to say already! But yeah, I DID have a faint feeling of Lorelei being a bit selfish in the end, but it's really not her fault. It was Mesopotamia who fell in love with her in the first place before she was complete with the developing of the circuits.

Oh yes! Luvweaver's fanfic is called "Second Chance"!
    ****
    "Advertisement"..er... Summary!
    ****
    SECOND CHANCE
Come join the fruity salad girls again! This time, Koyuki was given a mysterious maiden circuit found in Hess's lab, but where did it come from? Why is she reacting so strangely toward Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry? What does Lorelei think of Koyuki? A story about forgiveness and sorrow and pain... don't miss it!
    RATED: PG-13

Hehe... dumb... XD Oh well, I liked his fic, and that's all it counts!

    *wails incessantly*

...I wasn't done reading that fic, and I was wondering if I'd missed the Mesopotamiafic...

    ...*sniffle*....

...oh well. ^^; I'll just keep reading it anyway. ^^

    ****spoiler thread****

Welcome to the club. I don't really think Lorelei and Ieyasu were being selfish(if you're calling lorelei selfish, you should really include the shogun too). They didn't forsee the concequences of their actions. You can see they're sorry though where Ieyasu says "I'm a beast of a man." and where he sacrafices himself, twice actualy(as Tama too). Lorelei does seem genuinely appologetic and sad about what she had done. Also:

******J AGAIN SPOILERS*******Lorelei tries to kill herself, sort of, to repent what she had done. What more proof do you need*****END*****

Teh name of big, bad, and blonde is Faust. And from SMJ, it seemed like Lorelei liked both. But, then again, she was seen with Faust a LOT more than Ieyasu. I do not no about JtoX...since I have not yet witnessed most of it.

Well, that means Faust was horribly selfish too, and if it can be assumed, the leaders of ALL the different city-states. After all, they're the ones who know about them. The odd thing I don't get is that if there's other city-states, why aren't there more Sabers? ...Eh, I prolly didn't figure it out, but it was somewhere in the story.
