Manga I know someone MUST have asked this before

Its hard to say what Seraphic Feather is about at this point.The story really hasnt emerged yet.All that volume 1 tells about is about these seeds that have strange power.Than you have some evil person who wants to use them for his own ambitions.Sounds like a typical story,but the way it is presented is quite original.The characters are very interesting as well.Its really good.However its published every 5-7 months....(or more..)

Hikaru, Marmalade Boy is only eight volumes long...it's super-cute. I've been collecting Kodocha, too...I love it! It's so funny....and only ten volumes, which is pretty short, considering so many other manga that are seemingly infinite...(how do the manga-ka find the time to make so many?! I want that job!!! )

 

Yeah, Marmalade Boy IS super cute! My friend is collecting it now...and another is collecting Kodacha! (I love the parts where Akito--that his name?--gets all jealous and sometimes turns into an animal of some sort, with the ears and nose.)

You're right about the "infinite" mangas. I was starting out to collect Ranma 1/2, and then, 36 volumes! No way! so I stopped.

The Cowboy Bebop manga is really good.Short too,its at volume 3 and I think thats the last one.Each volume is only $9.99 too.You cant go wrong with it.You might want to check that out.

 

3 volumes! I think that's the shortest manga I've ever heard of. But there are a lot more anime episodes than the manga, isnt there? ..so then the anime came out before the manga?

 

Its not really an adaption of the story,it more of a sidestory.Same characters and all,but none of the stuff in the manga happened in the series.Im not sure whether the anime or manga came first but my guess would be the anime came first.

 

Ah, Akito as a cheetah and a 'lone wolf'! Cute! Miho Obana has such a great imagination.
The long-running manga drive me crazy! I almost feel like waiting for the author to finish the series before I even buy one volume...but that might be too long. There are actually some manga series in Japan that have been going since the '70's and 80's! Over a hundred volumes! :glazed:
They're right...the Cowboy Bebop manga is really good! (actually, I've only read the first volume...but 2 and 3 are waiting for me under the Christmas tree! ) The anime did come first...wish it was the other way around, though...the manga is so much more upbeat. Way funnier. Still love the anime, though...
