Art I need a CG-er...

Okay I have a favor to ask of anyone who can CG a picture. Um can you give this picture a try? If you don't mind that is. I really appreciate it.

*edit* ok i had a go.. it's a very low resolution for cg'ing tho... i'm having trouble cleaning the hair enough. anyway, here 'tis thus far... i'm not sure i can do your line art justice though. it's damn nice.

lol. i'm still working on it. the hair hasn't been done yet. the pic is low resolution, so it's harder to clean the hair. i tried it, and it looked sketchy and pretty bad. so i'm still cleaning it.

i know this probably doesnt belong here but. . . . How do you (poom poom or Chejo) color pictures using the computer? What program do you use?

 

lol. no need to be modest ser. . i use photoshop. only version 5, but they're all pretty much the same. if you want a cg'ing program Jaken, try GIMP. you can get it free on the net and i hear it's pretty good.

I'm in a good mood today so i prepared a little pic for you guys, its called the "ultra-mini-cell shading tutorial"

this is how i cg my pics. i used photoshop 6, hope you find it useful

 

i found these just on google, but i've never used gimp so i don't know how usefull they are...

lol. thanx ufo. i really don't see anything wrong with 5. it seems plenty powerfull to me. i've got access to version 7, but i'm reluctant to instal it 'cause i'm used to 5. and i find it plenty powerfull even when i don't know all that much about it.
i'd rather a tablet to a higher version. ..
i'll be using 3d studio max in the next few years so that will be interesting... 3d anime cd's could be pretty funky.

hmm, never seen rayearth myself, and was too lazy to find some pics to see hair and clothes colours so i just guessed lol.
