If I ever get my hands on whoever did this....

So today *started* out fantabulously.... woke up in a really good mood, actually got to class on time, only daydreamed half as much as I usually do (although that's still twice as much as everybody else), and .... got a lot of questions answered in French class XD. Very few of which had anything to do with French, but I *did* get some great tips on....

So anyway, everything was going swimmingly (I can't get enough of that word... I've been trying to work it into every sentance that I possibly can ^^), until, after colorguard practice, we come back to the band room to find that

- a cellphone is missing
- collectively, over 100 dollars is missing (about 20 on average taken from each person)
- a *4000* dollar laptop is missing, taken right out of the case, along with all of its cords
- an IPod is missing

The scary part is, whoever did it had to have known exactly where everything was... how else would they have known that one kid keeps his laptop in his locker, or that another keeps her cellphone in her wallet? Nothing got stolen from me, luckily, because whoever did it probably took one look inside my backpack and decided that it just wasn't worth the trouble (it's more then a bit messy =P) What's more is, the band director isn't making any effort to get it back... a freaking 4000 dollar laptop! If I came home without my cell, my parents would kick me out of the house and tell me not to come back until I found it. A laptop? I don't even want to think about it.....

Why would anyone do this? Our school is safe. There's only ever been one robbery in the time that I've been there, and it was just a bunch of students going after the concession money. There are next to no fights. There *is* some underground drug stuff going on, but next to none, and I wouldn't have even known if one of my friends hadn't pointed out all the hot-spots to me. But nothing like this has ever happened before..... I wish there was something I could do. I just can't understand *why* anyone would bother doing this. It's not like they could even *use* the laptop... I mean, wouldn't their parents be asking questions? And they can't use it at school... the entire band/guard/drumline's going to be keeping an eye out for it. If they'd just work for their money and buy their own damn laptop, then they wouldn't even have to worry about not getting away with it. *Why*?

Hmph, this was supposed to be my perfect day, and it still is. I'm not letting a bunch of little punks who haven't done an honest day's work in their lives spoil that =P But still, I can't help but feel for these guys... I really, really wish there was something I could do.
