This is a different poem, not really depressing. It's something to encourage people facing abuse ( as I usaully write about) that if you make it, you'll be someone. Committing suicide won't help, nothing like that will. We are soldiers of the war we can never win. People tell me I should get off this usaul poetry I write, but this is my emotions right? That's what poetry is about right? And i'm sorry if this bugs you but abuse is a big issue in my mind, and some people really need help. So if your reading this and you know what i'm talking about, my hat off to you! Take care!
It takes awhile to understand, but if you are a deep thinker you will ^_- enjoy.

Last poem for I SWARE at least 4 months.

    I'm a soldier

    They are teenage soldiers
fighting in a battle called home life
    dead bodies lying every where
it's hard to look at such a cruel sight
bloody noses, bleeding wrists, and hurt faces
    arms thick with big bruises
a bright spinning wheel forged from satan
    crushing whoever it chooses
    They all have one enemy
the hand that rocks the cradle
they try to bare it or run away
but deep inside they know their not able
    thats what makes them soldiers
through it all they stand as hard as stone
    They are all soliders fighting
against this place they call home
Those soldiers have a badge placed
on the sides of their arms, faces, and shoulders
I have marks proving my survival of abuse
and that makes me a soldier

Man, I love soldier poetry! Have you ever read any of Wilfred Owens works? Good stuff.

Makes you proud, doesn't it? Good for you, Ashika, I've got a friend that's trying to get into Annapolis (Navy school) to try for the SEALS. Me, I've got an inside track to West Point, but I'm not sure.
