Um also kinda confused. I used to play Yu Gi Oh. I went to an open play once play at Toys R Us but I know you can play at the comic book shop. Ok I live in a small city in the new york area so this post was propobly a waste since you are asking about Austrailia.

    Okay:

    1) this is a forum for anyone that loves japanese things, mostly anime, and manga. We have people of many different ethnics, Americans, Canadians, Irish, Swedish, Chinese, Japanese, and so on. So this isn't a forum for 'aussies' alone, it is a forum for everyone. I am not sure if there are any Australian members on Boards.jp, but I would not be surprised if there is.

    2) this should probably have been posted in Card games. While this is the YGO forum, it is mostly here to communicate about the show, and sometimes a bit about the game. However, anyone wanting to meet up to duel should probably post their request in Card Games.

    3) this is being moved to Card games because of 2).

Ok... to answer your questions, as well as I can, let's see:

1 & 2. Couldn't tell you. I'd be willing to be Yu-Gi-Oh is at least fairly popular in Australia, but I couldn't tell you.

    3. I'm not aware of any differences in rules between Canadian and Japanese rules, and I'd be willing to be that it would be the same in Australia, but I could be wrong.

    4. Definately. In any city, you can find people interested in the same things you are, if you know where and how to look.

I don't know how many responses you'll get to your request, but you know there are a number of programs that'll let you play Yu-Gi-Oh online? Then you can play it with people from all over the world.
