This may seem like an odd question, but do you think a person ever has the right to be imature?
When I say imature, I don't mean being a pranking little idiot, I mean throw an imarute fit or something like that.
I my opinion, I believe a person has the right to throw a fit like that when they've delt with certin crap and just took it for a long time. I mean, it'd be nice if they could fix the problem with out throwing a fit, but I'm not exactly sure that's always possible.
I know I'm probably not making sence, but I'm hoping you all under stand the question.

That wouls kinda depend. In your example of somebody throughing a fit because their taking a lot of crap and hassle, then i would say that it's ok to through a little fit, or get a bit moody. But thats not really being imature, thats really just blowing off some steam thats been building up cause everyones having a go at you.
If people where to have these little tantrums because they where not getting their own way, or people where not doing things that they wanted them to do, then that would be imature.
It all depends on how the person would want other people to treat them, or how they wanted to be viewed by other people. If they want to seen as over aged children then throuwing a fit is the right ay to do it. Then again some people believe that they're the kings (or queens) of the earth and that everyone is below them, so they'll order people around and do what they want. And if somebody refuses to do what they want then the person will whine and maybe stop talking to this person.

Being imature i think is sometimes what people want to be, but in other times it's part of the persons personality, and that can be a bit of a problem. If fact i personally try to stay away from these people.

As Kain pretty much already stated, there's a difference between a person getting fed up and venting and a person just being obnoxiously juvenile.

However, people have the right to act as immature as they want (excluding, of course, extremes that endanger or harass others). Regardless of whether or not it's socially correct or justifiable, a person's behavior is entirely their own business except where it infringes on someone else's rights - so, yeah, as long as all the person is doing is acting juvenile, that's totally within their rights.

Now, if the question comes down to whether or not immaturity can be justified - that's really all circumstantial. If you're exasperated with your friends and doing something silly like sitting down in the middle of the floor and crying about how awful your life is makes you feel better... Well, okay, whatever. You'll look like an idiot, but if your goal is just to blow of stress and that accomplishes it, then I suppose it's justified. *shrug*

It's a defense mechanism called "regression". A defense mechanism is a way that some people cope with stress in their lives (err, a way for the ego to relieve tension). Regression is to escape your current reality and revert to a time of less stress and act how you would during that stage. It's normal, everyone does it at one point or another.

So, ah, Dante... Please tell me that was a deliberate example of being immature intended to illustrate the subject matter for us? XD

But That Guy! makes a good point about regression. Looking at this from a psychological standpoint, certainly behaving in an immature manner sometimes helps us to cope with situations that are difficult for us to handle.
