At first I didn't know what to think... actually I thought that it would be just boring and all because I've only seen clips. But once I got into it I couldn't stop watching because there is so much suspense with all of the races and so on! I find it a good anime ^__^x not one of my favourites though, but if you're a fan of cars then you'll love this anime!

the first episode I watched was 14, and I htought that was cool, but all the racing talk bothered me, and I thought the animation sucked.

I've watched episodes 1-23 in a few weeks o far, and I can say this anime is awesome, cuz the storyline and the music make it so. I'm not really into cars or racing or big ugly lipped guys, or guys with no chins, and the animation is poor, but man.. its kicks rocks!

    TAKUMI YOU RULE!!!

Cool Vibrations...mwa ha ha cool vibrations...

I really love Initial D, I'm not really into cars myself... but it really draws me in, the animation (for the racing scenes) is brilliant, I love the Eurobeat soundtrack. It had lots of good artists (Mega NRG Man, Max Coveri, Move) the faces where a little bit... strange, big pouty lips and all, and Itsuki was so funny, especially when he went on the date :p and just the whole feeling I got from it, its one of my favourite non-kawaii animes!

This is the Heartbeat.. WO OH OH!!!!

First off, the best part of Initial D is definitely the music. Let me say that Dave Rodgers (who did much of the music) is amazing.
Now, I used to not be much of a fan of car racing, but I find myself talking about cars and stuff like that a lot more since I saw this anime. Whenever one of the songs comes on the car CD player, you can rest assured that my speed will pick up to quite a bit higher than the legal limit. I find I can relate with Takumi and his total lack of knowledge about cars ... one of my friends is like that guy (can't recall his name), Takumi's best friend ... always talking about cars and mocking me for my lack of knowledge.
    Initial D rocks.

By the way, I was in London (Ontario) and I saw an Hachi-Roku!! I wonder if the lucky driver of that car realizes what they have ...

A rev-head friend of mine recently got his hands on a Black and white Trino. He's a fan of the Anime and went absolutely spare when someone offered to sell him this car. Isn't it the one that Takumi drives?

It's Trueno, dude. The 1983 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT Apex is also called an Hachi-Roku. Takumi drives one, and supposedly it's one of the best cars for recreational drifting.

I just watched an episode of Initial D second stage, and I have to say the animation is quite better, as some characters look for defined, while well some fo them stay the same. I have to watch all of this season too!

Ok .. after seeing few previews of the anime .. I found out that its a racing car thingi .. !
And the cars are made by computer !
Its not that good .. you know .. the drwing .. but I am telling now that it is still late for me to judge it ..
So when I see it I will say what I though of it !

I just felt saying that .. because I am such a big mouthed girl !!

*Zanza allways to annoy you !!*

Hey, is Natsuki Mogi a prostitute? I think she is but someone told me she wasn't.... so I'm confused.

its just theres something about her and her 'papa'. I think he's the pimp, or one of the regular 'buyers'. either that or theres some twisted family stuff going on :dizzy2:

so can someone tell me... please!!

*won't ever look at Natsuki the same way again*

he's supposed to be her godfather, but then he pays her to see her. in the second season she has mixed feelings and calls off her relationship with him. Its a little muddled, but he drives a Benz and all they do is drive around. and then Takumi hears about it, and gets mad. sorry for the spoil, but it has nothing to do with the racing.

Initial D is the single greatest anime ever!!!
No other show has grabed me like this did, I began saying i'd watch just the first for that day, I ended up watching 7 episodes.

The whole thing is paced brillantly and is just as cool the...4th time through I think it is now.

If you want to talk about spoiling plot elements, I know what happens in the next series and it's hella cool. The manga is way ahead of the anime so I heard from a friend what happens.

I'll say one thing, Takumi is defeated, but it isn't by a someone you'd expect to do it ^_^

Dave Rogers only had a few tracks on the Initial D ST, I think it was 4-5 tracks including the movie, not too sure.

For shear number of Tracks MOVE seem to rule. They did all of the opening and ending tunes for each TV series plus many other tracks.

If you think it's cool seeing 1 AE86 you wouldn't believe the number of them in Ireland. The Corolla/Levin version was officially on sale here so there's no real shortage of them.

As far as I now there are 4 in Macroom alone, my fat, wanker neighbour 6 houses up has a dark green severely lowered AE86.

There was a Panda Trueno AE86 visually indentical to Takumi's (aside from the Fujiwara tofo writing on the side), for sale up the country somewhere late last year.
I'd have loved to buy it just for looks sake, I seriously doubt I'd even have the balls to try drift. Only problem was it was around £5,000 for it and I'm only 18 so I'd never be able to get insured on a car with a 1.5 engine.
