Manga and Anime Awards Introducing, the new M2A Awards!

For starters, the title.

Yes, it stands for M2A carrying the beloved title of the previous state of Boards.Jp, and since the awards are Manga AND Anime, I called them the 'Manga to Anime Awards'!

Now, there's been little of disscussion in the past, so I want to start voting, but not for Anime and Manga just yet, on how it will be.

Simply put, should we be limited to around 5 or 6 categories per section, or go nuts and have around 11 or 12?

Hmm, a second thought. To make things neater and add to the simple suspense of simply reading the awards, why dont we Podcast it, having Seishin as the host of the show, and many board guest appearances to announce the Awards.

Ex:
[Cool Voice] Now, announcing the prestigious award of Anime of the year, give a big welcome to the Boards.jp Founder, Cloud!
*add sound effects*
[Cloud (Over Pre-recorded Podcast)]*says speech about the award and such*...and now, the nominees for Anime of the year are....*announces nominees*...*sound effects*...yay! its Fullmetal Alchemist!

I think that is 12 catogories Kaiyon...lol

I like the idea of M2A, it SEEMS organized... around 9 catagories or higher I think? Would Kaiyon's best Anime of the Year, be overall? Or can we have another catagory for the Best or Most Intricate Plot? I love the animes with awsome twists and good deep threads.

 

That's why we vote for if we want too little, or too many.

I'd say too little is around 1-6, and too many is 7-14.

Anime of the Year is always there, btw.

How about we all PM u or who ever is running it who or wut picks should be in the catagories... that way u dont chose and no one will want to vote

 

As far as categories go, I'll put the biggest priorities first, but I'd like to see if people actually feel like voting for that many or not.

I think 3 or 4 would really be enough- otherwise the whole point of awards kinda loses itself, no?

How about these:

Most Popular (on BJP) (Also could be called "Boards Favorite")
Best Animation
Best Music
Best Storyline

I don't think any others are really necessary, to be honest.

 

If I may ask, how is it that the whole point looses itself?

For instance, the Grammy's have tons of categories, yet the point is not lost.

I'm not saying that the BJP M2A awards are as important as the Grammy's, but still...

I just to hear other points of view.

Let's just keep it real. Break out every category we can think of and award them for it. WHy not?

 

No, they're way better than the Grammies!

Anyway what I mean is if you give out a lot of awards, they're not as special, and it's not as interesting or important to win or see someone or something has won, whereas having only a few awards going out, it's a lot more special.

Kind of like winning the lottery. If you, and you alone, win it, you get the whole prize, but if 6 other people win it too, then it's split between the 7 of you and you're not getting as much out of it.

That's pretty much what I mean.

 

I am for a few. The boards barely had any active posts for the BJP awards.

Let's keep it simple.
