Cartoon Network recently released a statement saying that sometime in October, the first Inuyasha movie will be shown on Adult Swim.

Good news for those of you who have yet to see it(like myself). Also,it's nice that it'll be dubbed.

I don't know whether to squeal with delight or groan in disgust. As much as I love Inuyasha, the movie plots are (from what I've heard) cheesy, cliche, OOC (out of character), and it would probably feel like watching a fanfiction being played out more then anything, especially since the animation's done differently.

*shrug* I might end up watching it anyhow, though. Thanks for the info Blue_Crow!

I've already seen the movie and i live in Canada so i won't be seeing this on TV, but i'll cross my fingers so that the dubb isn't horrible:p

Hehe, you're probably right WG. I'll probably end up watching it, then get all mushy-eyed and whatnot about the 'adorable romance' in the plot even though (as I've already said) it's probably incredibly OOC. Tis what I get for being a sap :D.

Though I did hear that the first movie was more believable then the second, what with the now famous scene in the second movie (won't spoil it for y'all who haven't seen/heard of it yet) ;)

    I'm excited.

I can't stop watching Inuyasha, but I'm not a diehard fan like a lot of you,so I probably wouldn't be upset if the story was a little out of character.

It's like my soap-opera.:)It's so addictive.I can't wait until October.

As I said on the AS board when I saw the Announcement...."Oh happy day!" Hey BC, are you a memeber of the AS board or did you hear it from somewhere else?

well, well, look what i stumbled upon.

"Due to a miscommunication in regards to the amount of time that is
required to pass between the DVD release of InuYasha: The Love that
Transcends Time and its airing, the previously announced date of
October 23 for Adult Swim's airing of the feature will be pushed
back. Instead, it will premiere in the Spring of 2005. We understand
how disappointing this is for InuYasha fans, but these were
circumstances beyond our control. Premieres of InuYasha will continue
to air on Saturdays at 12 a.m., with weekday reruns at 12:30 a.m.

Sorry Guys, I went to check the message boards out at Adult Swim and
read that, so I just found out. You can go check it out if you want,
but you have to register first."

    sorry boys and girls.

Hey, that sounds pretty cool, even if I have to wait longer. I've been wanting to see the InuYasha movies for a while now. But I never found them on dvd (which I would have liked more cause then I could have watched it subbed instead of dubbed) or VHS (Which I rarely ever use anymore, but was desprate enough to be willing to buy on dubbed). I'm not sure if this is the movie I'm thinking of, but I'm sure it'll be a good one. I read a 'walkthrough' for one of the movies.
It sounded ok, though it could have used more Kikyo....

Any news about it airing on YTV? I don't have Adult Swim , or Cartoon Network . I have to live with just YTV and Teletoon.

I'm not even a bit shocked; you can usually count on Adult Swim to push back their deadlines (but I know it isn't their fault).

Anyway Kos-Mos, you're in luck. From what I've heard through the grapevine the first movie shows quite a bit of Kikyo (but in the second movie you may not be so lucky).

The movie is going to be playing in select cities. If you live in a big town, then you have a good chance of it playing there. From what i know, it's only playing in Toronto for Canada which just plainly sucks. Just like what they did to the Escaflowne movie *growls* I WANTED TO SEE THAT MOVIE IN THEATRES SO BADLY! I'm not too crazy if i see the IY movie or not. I'll prolly buy it though. I've downloaded all of my IY so far and i want to buy the DVD's but 3 eps per disk is just a plain rip off...though there's a set coming out around the same time the movie comes out on DVD which is going to have all of season one on only 5 disks ^__^ They've finally come to their senses. They better do the same for the other seasons!
