    In that case, they should turn the W rightside up on that restaurant that Kagome eats at. Free advertising!

    Hey, if they sponsor it, then they really CAN turn the W right side up so people can see McDonalds and go eat there after watching Inuyasha ^_^

    The "W" is actually a standard thing in anime. Most series you'll look at that use the fast-food chain will call it WacDonalds, regardless of sponsoring. Some also have Pochy (Pocky), Gabgom (Capcom), and similar name-changes. It's usually to avoid lawsuits, and usually coincides with the manga. They're not going to rotate the W just because McDonalds' sponsered a few episodes. I mean, the instance of "Gabgom" I saw was in Rockman.EXE, which is sponsered (and created) by Capcom.
