I haven't played this game yet. Can anyone tell me if this is worth my money. Because I was planning to get a new game this week. Is it worth my time and money to buy DOA Ultimate ?

    Yes!

DOA Ultimate is worth both your time and money. Well let me put it to you this way...Take the first game, add a lot better graphics, and a mess of new characters (not to worry, your favorites from the last game are all there) and you have yourself DOA Ultimate.

The developers put a lot of time and money into this game to give you the best, in my oppion, they did just that. If your not sure though, you can always rent it before you decide to buy it.

I say go ahead and get it, and enjoy yourself!

    Thank you for your time,
    ~Spike Kenshin

Renting is a good idea. I haven't played it yet, but I heard it's good. I suggest you go with Spike Kenshin's idea. Rent it first.

I personally want to get it because I have DOA 3.

Renting it would be best. So far the have DOA Ultimate, Ultimate 2 and a whole mess load of others. Better graphics and some more characters. You should just rent it and beat it. Unless you want to beat all your friends at it.

Yeah, I'm bumping a thread. Deal with it.

DOA Ultimate is awesome. I ended picking it up along with DOA3 and DOA Xtreme Volleyball and to be blunt DOAU and DOA3 are the most enjoyable fighting games I've ever played. Xtreme Volleyball... hehehehehehehehehehehehe. ~_^

I've just recently went to a computer store and was checking out a computer store when I noticed it had a preview of DOA Ultimate on quicktime. Of course, being me, I watched it. I never really expected it, but I really want to get DOA Ultimate now. It said that there are over 200 costumes and new battle areas for the characters. There are also some new combinations with all of the characters such as Tina using her opponent as a sled and Zack using his opponent as a snowboard. It was really interesting and I've heard from my friends DOA Ultimate is fantastic. ^_^

only thing that's missing is the insanely extreme "jiggle" from the original versions, and well...there's a sort of version in there if i remember right. we got when it came out. fiance showed my the originals first (weee my dc got use again ^^) and i cried. it hurt. and well, so did that bounce going on XD (this doesn't seem physically possible)

take the new versions, and replace the graphics with doa3/volleyball. but leave the meshing alone for the most part. add some new costumes (like they all have an Xbox mascot type costume involving black leather and the xbox logo). backgrounds got updated alot. it's a very nice looking remake and you should get if you enjoyed the first 2 doa games.

volley ball is by far the best volleyball game ever. XD i love having christy smash things into kasumi's face for some reason. and lei fangs too. cause you know, she just kinda sucks. cute, but sucks.

I played DOA: Ulimate today, and I have to say I am really, REALLY, REALLY impressed by the bounc....erm, graphics of the game. Really, it was really good. The game sure has improved since the PS2 realise of DOA2.

Oh and Xtreme Beachvolleyball is like the only reason for me to get a XBOX.

    Mmm. Ayane.

Akane? Teddz, you blasphemer! Wrong series. XD

DOAU is extremely worth the money. And I haven't even played/opened DOAU1 yet. I completed getting all 137 costumes a few weeks ago, just for giggles.

You end up being able to use DOAU2 as the booster disk to give DOA3 people extra costumes.

The fighting engine is much more refined, and the overall graphics of the game set the bar up again. All in all, par for Team Ninja and Itakagi. Now...if only they'll make MORE Ninja Gaiden games.

...Oddly, Team Ninja games are one of the few successful Japanese-based Xbox companies...

    Ayane in Virtual Practice Outfit.
    Kasumi in Flamingo Bikini
Hitomi in tank top and jeans.
Tina in the white kitty outfit.
    Lei Fang in the "DRESS".
    Helena in her Harem clothes.

    ...yum!

I played both of them, and clearly, the first one kinda blows, and the second one rules. Still, it's a preety fun game.

Of course. Ayane, why do I keep mixing hot pixel girls name up?!

Anyhow, any plans for a new DOA series to ps2? I would love to see a Beachvolley for the PS2.
...curse Rumble Roses and it's shitty controls.

Nope. The DOA creator is pretty specific that the X-Box is his system of choice. And regarding the next set of consoles, while the DOA creator isn't set in stone or anything yet, he does seem to have a slight lean towards X-Box 2.

Aw....Poor PS2. DOA VolleyBall is an extremly....interesting game. But still, I would much prefer it on X-Box, since graphics look better, and in my opinion, the controller feels better than the PS2's ever will...
