IS NERVE CENTER CONTROL LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BASS WHERE THE PHOENIX IS?

i am huge fan of botp, i remember when
the show first made it appearance in 1978 on channel five which is know fox
five kids network, and i would love to see it again, the reason why i am
e-mailing you is to ask you one question, concerning the location of where 7
zark 7 and 1 rover 1 is. inside of center neptune is nerve center control
located at the very top of the bass which looks exactly like a football
dome, the middle where the phoenix
comes in, or is it at the very bottom, the reason why i am curious to know
is because i used to watch the program many years ago and whenever it would
came on, i usually see zark traveling up and down in his jeston like suck
tube, so i wanted to know where exactly is zark command center is located
at, and where does the tube takes him when it is time for his oil change?
and the command center cannot be at the very top, do you know where it is?

 

Hi, Phillip! I think the general consensus is that Nerve Center Control might be in a separate building. One of the clues is that Zark keeps claiming that NCC is "many fathoms beneath the sea," while the G-Force base is tucked under a coral reef, just beneath the ocean's surface. Unless this info is hidden in some obscure BotP episode, that's about all the information available.

There is no canon as to Zark's location within any building. Sandy Frank's production team never covered it.

 

While nothing official, common sense makes it clear (if common sense can ever be bestowed on such a patchwork cartoon) that Zark's centre is outside the research complex.
1. In the episode "Attack On Space Center", Center Neptune, as we know it, is destroyed but Zark, despite Spectra's best efforts remains in his complex. Not likely he's based in the building then. The main building is refered to as research center and it is implied that it is one of many.
2. The previous fathoms beneath the sea arguement - it's a good one!
3. UK BotP annual - yeah, it's hardly prime evidence but the Center Neptune they show is on the sea bed. So the artist got it wrong - but it gives you an idea what Zark's base may look like...... I have a scan of it on my site... http://www.worldzone.net/scifi/eagleken/merchandise.shtml
