I read somewhere that the first season of Ranma follows the manga, but after season 1 the episodes kinda stray away from the manga. Is that true? Maybe it's time I get some of those translated mangas.

i like the ranma1/2 manga way more than anime. the anime's voice actors(in english) sound so irritating, they dont talk they scream every word. :anger2:

i agree with the manga being better, but the dubbed version is bad compared to the original.

I can really care less what their voices sound like. I jus hate when they change the names and wording around. Since I've only seen Inuyasha in both languages, I'll use that show as an example:

'Soul crushing claws' became some stupid ryming 'Iron Reaver Soul Stealer' (sp)
    KiARa became KiLALa
'Wound of the wind' became 'Wind scar'
    and 'Sit' became 'Sit, Boy'

that's the only thing I can complain about with change in dubbing.

i like the anime so much better.
there is more stuff that happens in the anime.
in the manga the "the rythmic gymnastics wrestling" is changed to martial arts rythmic gymnastics which just sounds so much better.
in the manga the figure skating challenge is literally right after the gymnastics. but there's about ten episodes of the anime between the two. I could go on for hours pointing out differences but i think it really is up to the person to decide what they like.
