Soon the Italian Soccer League Serie A is starting. Everyone knows that last years winners Juventus have the longest leap, but which teams will claim the title from them?

    My Beliefs are these following:

Inter are the biggest rivals to claim the title. ( Forza Nerazurri! Inter Boys! I am a Inter Fan :p )

    Team Status:

Inter hasnt done a lot of major buyings, basiclly players for the left and right wing.
Players like Andy Van Der Medye (From Ajax), Luciano (Chievo Verona), Lamouchi (Parma), Fadiga (Marseille) and Karagnoius (Panathinakos) are all great wingers, but Fadiga has some heart problems.
Neverless, the Inter Squad looks confident and focused on the upcoming league. They finished 2nd last year, and lost with an against goal against local (f***ing) rivals AC Milan in the Champions League Quarter Finals. This year, they will compete in the League Game, Champions League and Italian Cup.

Also note that President Moratti have given Hector Cuper a ultimatium, if he doesnt win anything this year, he would be sacked.

I dont like that, Inter hasnt look this "stable" for a loooooong period of time. I believe he should give Cuper one more try after this season ONLY if he plays a more attractive, attacking soccer. I mean, during a league game against Brescia, he had players like Dalmat, Emre, Recoba, Vieri and Crespo on the Field, but no, he wanted to play with defence. What happened after 90 mins? Tied game.

Cuper needs to sack his defence way of looking at soccer, so that we can bring some silver to the Inters Side of San Siro. This year, not because I am a Inter Fan, is Inters Season. They are loaded and "pissed" to win the league and/or Champions League.

Let's Hope Inter Does Acheive Those Goals.

    Forza Inter! Nerazurri!

Heh, you into Italian football as well? I know the players there better than the country I'm living in (England). Bought a Inter Milan shirt just 4 days ago as well :) (Nice shirt)

Inter's squad grew so much having not seeing their squad for a long time. The last time I remember their squad was when Hakan Suker, Frey, Simic, Seedorf etc were there. Manchester United's Ryan Giggs was a potential left filler for Inter but I havn't followed up football lately so I don't know what's going on. Giggs is a wonderful player, I've seen him in action many times and he would be a great signing for Inter. However I think Giggs has stated that he's not leaving whatsoever.

I am sure they can get those goals. They have a massive striking force. J.H.Crespo, Italian star C.Vieri, A.Recoba, M.Kallon and Martins who showed some potential when he scored that goal in the European Cup semis against AC Milan are all powerful strikers with bags of experience.

With what I know with Inter, they are an attacking team. Cuper's defence attitude insn't the way those stars are suppose to play. Their defence is very capable, I mean they have F.Cannavaro, J.Zanetti and I.Cordoba... top defenders, they can cope with anything, not to mention Toldo, Italy's number 2 goalkeeper.

I'm quite amazed that they havn't bought any players yet. The season was over some time ago now. They are a very rich club.

I don't follow European soccer much anymore... But I remember a couple of years ago my favorite Italian team was Juventus. You know, with Alexandro Del Piero and Filip Inzagi in it... I used to know the whole team...

I've lost my interest in sports, nowadays.

    Cameronesi was from Verona
    Fresi was from Bologna

Neverless, Inter has bought a large amount of "flankers". I.e Andy Van Der Meyde, Luciano, Fadiga (Heart problems :/, might leave soccer for a year or so), Karagoniuos...

Sure, Cuper needs to change his way coaching, Inter have a solid Defance line with Cordoba, J. Zanetti, Materazzi, Cannavaro, Coco, Pasquale, Adani etc etc not to mention the great defensive midfielders in C.Zanetti and Almeyda (Forget Di Biago, too old too slow :/).

I have always wondered if Recoba deserve an Inter Shirt...remember the game against AC Milan in the CL Quarter Finals...Weak WEAK WEEEAAAAAK!...*takes deep breath*

Anyways, accourding to some Italian & European Press, Inter is gonna buy Valencias Top Winger, and "easy-of-getting-pissed" Argentinan Kily Gonzalez even if Fadiga doesnt have a heart problem.

This capture might open some doors for:

    Luigi "Gigi" Di Biago
    Sergio "Twister" Conceciao
Buruk Okan ( Even though I want him to stay with Inter )
    Stephane Dalmat
And Maybe MAYBE Alvaro "il Chino" Recoba

    Rumours?

As you all know, Chelseas new President, Roman Abrahmovic has spent over 79 Million Euros (!!!) on new players, including: Damien Duff (Blackbrun), Juan Sebastien Veron (Man Utd) Adrian Mutu (Parma).

For Parma, Adrian Mutu's replacement is gonna be either Antonio Di Natale (Empoli) or Alvaro "Il Chino" Recoba (Inter).

Inter will soon finish signing Kily Gonzalez from Valencia. The expected sum will be around 3 Million Euros.

Anymore more rumours? Do come with them :)

All those rumours are true and in fact, all those mentioned ARE at Chelsea. Other players signed/will be signed include:

    Geremi - From Real Madrid
    J.H. Crespo - Inter Milan
    Wayne Bridge - Southhampton

Yes... drop your jaws... Crespo is playing in the premiership... not good news for Manu and Arsenal.

Although this is a debate, it doesn't leave the realm of soccer, so I'm going to move it to the new Soccer forum.

Roma will win this year. Though they are trailing behind AC Milan...they will soon boost up and take it all the way. Who is gonna stop Totti....?

Milan has already won the championship :) I believe it was 8 points that differed between them and Roma.

Not to mention the loss of Walter Samuel to Real Madrid...

The Italian cup was won by Lazio this year. I think you mean the Italian Super Cup. They don't play it untill the start of the next season.
