Video Games Jedi Knight 2

I just got it, and if anyone ever talks to me about consoles again, I will slap them retarded.

It has taken over from Deus Ex as best game ever, which took over from Half Life, which took over from Jedi Knight.

All PC games. I see a pattern. And the pattern is: I like PC games

So what has this thread proved? nothing. Everyone knew my opinion of console vs. PC already, so this is nothing new, except the part that says Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast rocks!

PC will always rule the games end of the market , or mabye not , its the same with both really , you need to keep upgrading your PC and the console makers keep making better consoles , but PC is always 1 step ahead , consoles cant keep up with its hardware , you can only fit so much in a little box

 

I have to say that although PCs are superior, console are not without their merits(squaresoft). I want to get the game, but my PC is acting the ***** at the moment. I need to format, but first I need to back up my stuff. Well, I can still play JK1.

The force powers and duels are sooo awesome. The game is a little slow until you get your saber, but then it takes off. Nothing like flinging hapless squads of stormies about with flicks of your wrist, or tunring realistic saber combat on and turning them into little pieces. My favourite is to jump above them in the air, then use force pull on them. Sends them flying 30 meters up into the air, and they dont like it If you disarm them, they will often stand their with their hands up hehe how merciful do I feel today?

Force speed rules. You dont run around like a headless chicken on speed anymore, instead everyone else slows down. Its like bullet time in Max Payne, except you don't slow down Lightning rules.. and grip! Lift them up, then drop them haha poor stormies.

Effects are great (the swamp level has simply amazing vegetation and atmosphere) The story is good, voice acting isnt half bad. I really hate the bad guy. What's not to like about this game?

I really have to get my hands on this game!!! I really like the first Jedi Knight and MotS, although what exactly are the system requirements?

 

they are similar to those of Quake 3 (big surprise) but a little higher, as the engine has been tweaked a bit, and generally upgraded. Anyway, scope them for yourself here: http://www.lucasarts.com/products/outcast/html/system.html

I've seen it run on a 300 Mhz computer too, and it's decent. Ask UK.

New favourite, lifting them with grip, then while they gasp for air, chucking my lightsaber at them muahahahaa

 

Wow. If I didn't owe about 50,000$ to the mafia, I'd buy that game.

 

Here's a wacky screenie from a game a was messing around with last night. Level looks blah: it's not an official level. Something someone jsut threw together. anyways, the pic shows my one gripe with the graphics. Why they couldn't fix a texture seam on the main character's face.. other than that this game is superb.

Now, if you've seen the pic (don't look if you're squamish ) you may be wondering why it looks like the saber just went through, but the head is already a whole meter away from the neck.

Well, I saw the head go, and reached for the printscreen key. But by the time I got there, the spin combo I was doing had progressed, and I was already delivering the second hit. This would be very effective if the first hit hadn't already taken care of the guy

That game was so cool! though it seemed a bit short >< Are there any hidden levels or anything? I thought that the final battle was rather fun, and also it is so cool when you go into rooms after rooms worth of Dark Jedi to fight!!!

If you have time then let's play online sometime MO, lol.... M2A Jedi Knight 2 clan (even though the last time I mentioned this with JK didn't go over too well @_@x)

This is truly an amazing game.My computer sucks but it runs it fairly well.....(I have to lower detail somewhat).Lightsaber duels are the funnest thing in JK2.The story is way better than Episode 1 and 2's.Is it just me or is game difficult though?

 

It was a bit hard.. but one thing I loved about this game compared to JK 1 was that the saber really blocks well, and is actually the best weapon almost all of the time. Stormtroopers have no chance when you go at them with a saber and force pull mwahahahaa

That Guy! I'd love to play some multiplayer sometime. I'll let you know when I get back to my apartment and a real connection hehe

 

LOL,I totally forgot about Force Pull!!(Kaneda hits himself in the face)I have been struggling against those stormtroopers that have that gun that shoots those shards.(isnt it called Flechette gun or something?....been a while since I played it)I could have just took it out of there hands......(hits himself in the face again)
How easy the game would have been if I had used that skill.......
